Provide the student with the necessary tools to:
1. understand scientific texts, written or oral, in English, on the subjects to be studied;
2. describe and comment, orally and in writing, in English, on scientific concepts;
3. recognize and use, correctly and appropriately, the English vocabulary related to the subjects to be studied.
The course is organized mainly around two tasks: applying reading techniques to understand texts and scientific conferences, and planning and structuring texts in English (mainly essays) that develop the ability of written expression.

The active participation of the student will be encouraged. The linguistic skills of oral expression, oral comprehension and written expression will be worked on. This will require attendance at conferences in English, reading articles and preparing essays and presentations in English.
In case of being in scenarios 2 to 3, communication with the students will be carried out by telematic means (Moodle platform or MS Teams)
Continuous evaluation through writing and exhibitions, which can be carried out electronically if necessary.
Student's personal work:
Attendance at conferences (10 hours)
Preparation of scientific reports (10 hours)

Total hours of personal work of the student (30 hours)
It is a subject where it is very important to keep in touch with the English language. Therefore it is recommended to listen and read in English.
In scenario 2, 2 modalities are contemplated, 100% physical presence, in the case of small groups, and / or the teaching organization allows it; and a combination of 50% physical presence and 50% telematics. In the combined mode, the groups of expositions will be subdivided, which will have alternate face-to-face teaching, that is, half of the students will be in the classroom and the other half will follow the class via M. Teams. The implementation of the combined modality will be conditional on the availability of sufficient teaching spaces
