Dr. Alonso’s group participated in the kick-off meeting of the SURFeye consortium. The main goal of this project is to design and develop new strategies for the diagnosis, treatment and regeneration of the ocular surface.

October 15-16, 2014

Dr. Alonso, in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Pharmacy, organized a symposium entitled ADVANCED ONCOLOGICAL THERAPIES, which was sponsored by the “Ramón Areces Foundation”.

The symposium aimed at providing an update on the most advanced and innovative therapies including synthetic moleculesantibodies-based therapies, as well as strategies based on immunomodulation and nanotechnology approaches.

Dr. Alonso organized a Meeting with Prof. Robert Langer, sponsored by the “Bankinter Foundation of Innovation”. In the meeting, Prof. Langer presented his ideas on how to translate academic breakthrough technologies into products. His presentation was followed by an active debate with a number of scientists, entrepreneurs and innovation policy officers.
