The h-index, the most relevant indicator of the impact of the scientific publications within a specific domain, lists her with an h-index 71, the highest position among all the female researchers in Spain, in any area of Sciences.
In Spain, the impact of scientific publications signed by women in the multiple research areas is below the impact of their male colleagues, with only a few exceptions, among them the Pharmacology and Pharmacy area, where Professor Alonso is at the top of the ranking.
