Responsabilities:
- Characterization of nanostructured materials and other types of samples (macromolecules and organic nanostructures, biological samples, etc.) using high resolution TEM / STEM techniques, Preparation of samples for study by high resolution electronic microscopy and cryo-TEM.
- Employment of electron diffraction techniques, microanalysis for the analysis of nanostructures, reconstruction of 3D structures by tomography and use of on-site equipment for real-time analysis.
- Scientific-technical advice in the preparation of samples, the design of all types of experiments that require transmission microscopy and in the collection and interpretation of results derived from them.
- Basic user management, maintenance and training tasks
Requirements:
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science.
- Research experience in transmission electron microscopy (publications, stays in research centers, etc.). Experience in TEM / STEM and in nanomaterials characterization techniques (EDS, EELS, tomography, cryo-TEM, etc.) will be highly valued.
- Experience in management positions in high resolution electronic microscopy facilities: maintenance and optimization of equipment, technical support to researchers, etc.
