I am a Ramón y Cajal Researcher in Applied Mathematics at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and the Principal Investigator of the ERC Starting Grant 2025  SUPREMUM  (StrUcture PREserving Methods on Unstructured grids for continuum Mechanics).

I hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), completed in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. J.L. Ferrín and M.E. Vázquez-Cendón. During my doctoral training, I had the opportunity to work with Prof. E.F. Toro at the University of Trento (UNITN) and Prof. G. Rozza at SISSA.

My international experience includes a postdoctoral position in the group of Professor M. Dumbser at UNITN, as well as invitations to prestigious conferences such as Oberwolfach and Mittag-Leffler. I have also worked as Assistant Professor both at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and at the Universidade de Vigo (UVigo).

In 2024, I returned to USC as a Ramón y Cajal Researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics, within the Research Group in Mathematical Engineering, and I am affiliated with CITMAga. In 2025, I was awarded a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for my project SUPREMUM.

My research focuses on the design, theoretical analysis, and implementation of numerical methods for solving time-dependent partial differential equations (PDEs). Applications, within computational mechanics, include the study of geophysical flows, incompressible and compressible flows in industrial and aerospace engineering, and the simulation of blood flow in the cardiovascular system.
