Teaching methodology
The theoretical program will be taught through lectures.
The seminars will deal with clinical cases adapted to the contents of the program, as well as the analysis and solution of problems in an interactive way between student and teacher.
The acquired knowledge will be applied in practice.
In the tutorials, the professor will personally attend the students to guide them and solve any doubts they may have. The tutorials will be essentially face-to-face, although they can be carried out electronically.
Mandatory general rules:
- It is mandatory to attend the practices with the CORRECT PROTECTION on the part of the student, i.e.: clean gown and pajamas, mask, disposable gloves, highly protective glasses.
- Theoretical and practical classes must start punctually: once started, no student will be allowed to join them.
- Those who do not follow the correct STERILIZATION rules and are not in possession of the INSTRUMENT will not be able to perform the practices.
This subject comprises theoretical and practical content, weighted as follows:
- Theoretical content 70% of the final grade of the subject.
- Practical content 30% of the final grade of the subject.
IMPORTANT: Both theoretical and practical contents of the subject must be passed independently of each other in order to obtain a passing grade in the subject. That is to say, a failure in one of the parts is not compensated with a good grade in the other. You must also pass the theoretical exam of each of the professors independently in order to pass the course.
Attendance to the practical classes is a mandatory requirement to pass the course, only the absence, duly justified, of 10% of the practices will be allowed.
Clinical practicals are evaluated daily taking into account, among other aspects:
1. Punctuality
2. Participation
3. Instruments (sufficient, adequate, and in good condition for the practice).
4. Knowledge of the practice to be performed
5. Execution of the practice (order, cleanliness, use of time).
6. Result of the work performed
7. Care of the facilities
For cases of fraudulent performance of exercises and tests will apply the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and grade review of the USC.
