The possibility of introducing external internships reinforces the commitment to the employability of future graduates, enriching the training of students of undergraduate education, in an environment that will provide, both them and their responsibles for the training, a deeper knowledge of the skills they will need in the future (RD 1393/2007).
Internships in companies and public and private entities as part of the academic training of students. These interships are voluntary and you can obtain up to 6 elective credits.
..
BASIC AND GENERAL:
CB2 - That students know how to apply their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional manner and possess the skills that are usually demonstrated through the elaboration and defense of arguments and the resolution of problems within their area of study.
CB4 - That students can transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to a specialized and non-specialized public.
CB5 - That students have developed those learning skills necessary to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy.
CG2 - Have the ability to gather and interpret data, information and relevant results, obtain conclusions and issue reasoned reports on scientific, technological or other problems that require the use of knowledge of Physics.
CG3 - Apply both the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired as well as the capacity for analysis and abstraction in the definition and approach of problems and in the search for their solutions both in academic and professional contexts.
TRANSVERSALS:
CT1 - Acquire analysis and synthesis capacity.
CT2 - Have capacity for organization and planning.
CT3 - Master a foreign language and work in an international context.
CT4 - Be able to work as a team.
CT5 - Develop critical reasoning and ethical commitment.
CT6 - Develop creativity, initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.
SPECIFIC:
CE4 - Be able to compare new experimental data with available models to check its validity and suggest changes that improve the agreement of the models with the data.
CE5 - Be able to perform the essentials of a process or situation and establish a work model of it, as well as perform the required approaches in order to reduce the problem to a manageable level. He will demonstrate critical thinking to build physical models.
CE7 - Be able to use computer tools and develop software programs.
- Presentation to the student of the activities that must be done
- Programming of activities
- Advice on the procedures to follow
- Supervision of the activities to be carried out
- Exhibition and analysis of the results of the proposed work
- Introduction to the preparation of academic / scientific reports or technical reports
The evaluation of external internships will be done from:
-External tutor report
-Report of the tutor.
-Student report.
TRAINING ACTIVITY
Tutorials: 5 hours
Autonomous work: 30 hours
Interactive sessions in the destination: 150 hours

The regulations governing external placements, as well as the calls made by the centre each academic year, can be consulted at the following link: http://www.usc.es/es/centros/fisica/practicas.html Students can take External Placements in the 3rd and 4th years of the degree course.
CONTINGENCY PLAN
1 Objectives: No changes
2 Contents: No changes
3 Basic and complementary bibliography: No changes.
4 Competences: No change
5 Teaching methodology
Scenario 1: Adapted normality (no restrictions on physical presence).
External academic placements, whether curricular or extracurricular, will be carried out in person.
Scenario 2: distanced (with partial restrictions on physical presence).
External academic placements, curricular or extracurricular, may be carried out partially by non-face-to-face means that ensure the acquisition of competences and learning outcomes (problem solving, practical exercises or similar activities). The part of the work placement carried out by non-face-to-face means may not exceed 50% of the total duration of the placement. Preference shall always be given to the face-to-face mode.
Scenario 3: closure of the facilities (impossibility of providing face-to-face teaching).
External academic placements, whether curricular or extracurricular, may be carried out partially by non-face-to-face means that ensure the acquisition of competences and learning outcomes (problem solving, practical cases or similar activities). The part of the placement carried out by non-face-to-face means may not exceed 50% of the total duration of the placement. If it is not possible to modify them in this way, they must be interrupted.
In all cases, the procedure will be in accordance with that established by the governing bodies of the USC and/or the Faculty and the collaborating entities.
6 Evaluation system: No changes
7 Study and personal work time: No changes.
