CiQUS Summer Fellowship Programme kicks off

The centre welcomes the beneficiaries of the sixth edition of its summer fellowship programme, running through July.
Today took place the welcoming ceremony for the those students who will participate in the new edition of the CiQUS Summer Fellowship Programme. After a brief presentation, the Scientific Director and the Deputy Director of the centre took the opportunity to congratulate the newcomers, encouraging them to enjoy their first research experience. A guided tour of the centre's facilities followed, and the trainees were given a safety course.
In this way, 15 selected students will start their regular activities at CiQUS from today, where they will carry out their internships during the month of July in collaboration with the different research groups. In addition to the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, the new scholarship holders include students from the U. Complutense de Madrid, the U. de Oviedo, the U. de Murcia and the U. de A Coruña.
Supervised by CiQUS principal investigators, the students will have their first contact with cutting-edge research. They will also learn how to use sophisticated equipment and instrumentation and will be able to participate in the different scientific activities that the centre has programmed during the month, including internal seminars and top-level lectures.
