José Luis Mascareñas and David MacMillan play the key role at the XXI Seminar Fèlix Serratosa

CiQUS Scientific Director will take part tomorrow as a guest speaker with renowned researcher David MacMillan at the XXI edition of prestigious Félix Serratosa Conference, organized by the Catalonian Society of Chemistry (IEC) and the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ).


José Luis Mascareñas, main scientific responsible at CiQUS and ERC Advanced Grant holder since 2013 with his project MetBioCat, will open tomorow the twenty-first edition of Félix Serratosa's Conference with his speech «Transition Metals at the Center: Catalytic Methods and Tools for Chemical Biology», a session in which he will share a round table with the renowned researcher David MacMillan.

Macmillan, frequently related to a list of possible Nobel Prize candidates for his advances in the field of asymmetric organocatalysis, develops his research activity at Princeton University, being considered at present as a global leader in the area of synthetic chemistry.

The event will take place tomorrow Wednesday, April 6th, at the Assembly Hall of the ICIQ (Institut Català d'Investigació Química), from 17:00.
