On Wednesday July 27 the students will present the results of their activity in the center and will take stock of this experience research initiation.
Next Wednesday, the students who have been selected in the Summer Fellowships Program will present the results obtained from their activity in the different research groups at CiQUS, an excellent opportunity to review the outcomes made during the stay that they carried out in the center during the last weeks.
This program offers them the opportunity to approach to Chemistry research, supported by a scientific excelence equipment and first class facilities. Furthermore, the program promotes their participation in the global scientific activities organized by the center, like internal seminars or International Conferences Program, which receives every year internationally renowned researchers.
A commitment to young talent
After the success of the fellowships in 2015, one more year, CiQUS remains its commitment to attract young talent through its Summer Fellowship Program. In the second edition, the program has awarded 10 research grants for students in third or fourth year of their undergraduate degrees. During the application process, the center has received more than 125 applications from 50 different universities (15 of them from foreign universities), which demonstrates its excellence and competitiviness.
The awarded students, which met the CiQUS Scientific Director, José L. Mascareñas and Deputy Director Dolores Pérez, come from the universities of Vigo, La Laguna, Complutense de Madrid, Valencia, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Málaga and Santiago de Compostela.
