A chemically stable hybrid catalytic system that comprises non-functionalized silica, titania or zirconia nanoparticles and a transition-metal organometallic complex.
In the novel materials described, the catalytic species are encapsulated in the polymeric matrix by means of direct interaction therewith, without the need to incorporate linkers or functional groups.
Also described is a method for obtaining said catalytic system in a single step by means of the sol-gel method, using reactions comprising hydrolysis and condensation of alkoxides of Si, Ti or Zr in a medium to which the transition-metal organometallic complexes are added whilst hydrolysis/condensation of the alkoxide takes place.
Said catalytic systems are used in the synthesis of organic compounds and in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
