Summary
Drug use is a public health problem. Drug use begins in adolescence, which is why prevention is essential during this period. The aim of the current study was to conduct a systematic review of the efficacy of universal school-based prevention programmes since 2010. For this purpose, a literature review was carried out using the PsycInfo, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, resulting in the selection of 14 articles. Despite the wide range of results, overall, the findings support the efficacy of such programmes in preventing alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs use, with the strongest evidence found for alcohol prevention. The majority of the programmes included training in social resistance and competence development skills, and normative education. Based on the analysed evidence, a universal school-based drug use prevention proposal targeting adolescents aged 12-14 was developed, combining elements of information, normative education, and skills training. It is concluded that universal drug use prevention during adolescence seems to be both effective and useful.

Summary
Throughout history, prostitution has been linked to gender inequality and the control of women's bodies. Today, with virtually every aspect of our lives digitised, a new form is emerging that intertwines with traditional prostitution, making a similar power structure visible. OnlyFans, a platform where explicit content is shared in exchange for money, is a clear example. While some argue that it is a means of empowerment, others warn about the risks and consequences it entails. Children are particularly vulnerable to a distorted view of empowerment, unaware of the inherent dangers. This programme, aimed at teenagers in the 4th year of ESO, aims to inform and raise awareness about the risks of using OnlyFans, addressing issues such as prostitution 2.0, exploitation and pimping. Through activities organised in blocks, the aim is to show the consequences of using the platform, promote responsible use of the networks, apply preventive strategies and reformulate the concept of empowerment. As this is an intervention proposal, it is not possible to evaluate concrete results or compare them with other programmes, as no similar initiatives were found that specifically address this issue. However, despite some limitations, it is hoped that the programme will succeed in generating a change in the perception and behaviour of the participants with respect to the platform, promoting a critical reflection on the risks and associated realities.

Summary
Emerging social, political, and cultural changes have led to increasing diversity in family structures. This diversity has brought a rise in single-mother households, which in turn has generated new needs, problems and specific challenges associated with this situation. Through a theoretical analysis based on research and statistical data, the reality of single mothers who take on the responsibility of raising children has been contextualized, as well as the difficulties they face. Additionally, a group intervention proposal has been developed for mothers leading single-mother households, aiming to foster a positive impact on their lives by enhancing their self-esteem and expanding their social support network.

Summary
Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is an infection that, over the decades, has been turned from a mortal illness into a chronic disease by the development of treatments, in particular antiretroviral therapy and triple therapy. It is a disease associated with a lot of stigmatization, and has important psychological repercussions for those infected, such as a deterioration of mood and self-esteem, and feelings of shame and guilt associated with the infection. In the European Union, migrants account for a large proportion of HIV-infected patients, and people originating from sub-Saharan Africa are particularly vulnerable to HIV infection. In order to identify the specific psychological difficulties faced by HIV-positive people originally from sub-Saharan Africa living in the European Union and the United Kingdom, and how these influence adherence to antiretroviral treatment, a systematic review was conducted using the Medline, Psycinfo and Word Of Sciences databases. The results show that people living with HIV experience significant stigmatisation by their community, that their self-esteem and mood are affected by HIV, and that they have little social support to help them face the disease. On the other hand, cultural differences make these patients not always feel understood by the medical team, mistrust Western medicine and sometimes prefer to resort to traditional medicines. All these factors have a negative impact on adherence to antiretroviral treatment. An intervention approach has been developed with the aim of reducing the psychological difficulties experienced by HIV-positive patients from sub-Saharan Africa living in the European Union and the United Kingdom, and improving adherence to antiretroviral treatment. It is a three-dimensional intervention approach, which includes a patient-directed intervention as well as shorter intervention sessions aimed at the African community and health professionals caring for HIV-positive patients from sub-Saharan Africa.

Summary
Callous-unemotional (CU) traits describe a personality profile characterized by emotional hardness or insensitivity, which can be associated with severe conduct problems and significantly differs from the profile of children or adolescents who only display disruptive behaviors. CU traits have been linked to a higher risk of antisocial behavior, psychosocial impairment, comorbid psychopathology, and lower levels of prosocial behavior. Although evidence suggests that these youths tend to be more resistant to treatment, recent research has shown that they may benefit from interventions that go beyond traditional conduct problem programs. This study presents a systematic review analyzing the effectiveness and key components of current interventions targeting children under 12 years old with conduct problems and CU traits. The results highlight the importance of intensive, individualized, and multi-component programs that integrate parent training and strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of this profile. Based on these findings, an intervention is proposed to improve psychosocial adjustment, specifically designed to address the characteristics and needs of this population and tailored for children aged 6 to 8 years. The proposed intervention combines a parent training program with socio-emotional skills training for children, based on an adaptation of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for CU traits (PCIT-CU).

Summary
Theory of Mind refers to the ability to atribuye mental states to others. Many conditions present severe déficits in this ability and it has been related with difficulties in social functioning, including temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and frontal lobe epilepsy (FLE). However, there is no protocol to assess ToM in TLE and FLE, so this paper aims to conduct a literature review examining the most appropriate tests to measure ToM and to make a proposal for a protocol. The review showed that adults with TLE and FLE present severe ToM deficits despite the heterogeneity of the tests. These deficits are usually unrelated to epilepsy variables and are independent of other cognitive functions. The most appropriate tests to measure ToM are the Faux Pas Test (FPT) and the Movie for the Assessment of Social Cognition (MASC), so the proposed protocol includes these two tests. However, the development of suitable tests with more than one form is needed to measure dynamic changes in ToM.

Summary
Adolescents in residential therapeutic care have a specific profile and problems that must be addressed directly. This population shows both externalising and internalising problems, which evidences the presence of therapeutic needs that motivate their internment. These adolescents have a long history in the child welfare system and more severe clinical profiles. As explanatory variables for this, instability or rupture in foster care and bonding issues with reference figures, polyvictimization and potentially traumatic experiences, among others, stand out. Thus, it is essential to develop interventions particularly focused on the variables specific to this population. In this sense, this paper proposes an intervention programme for minors in a residential therapeutic resource, specifically “Centro de menores de “Montealegre”, focused on the processing of traumatic experiences through the construction of a cohesive life narrative and the promotion of a secure bond. To this end, work is carried out for 3 months in sessions, both individual and in groups, in parallel and later together with the children and their main caregivers.

Summary
Alcohol is the most widely consumed drug and can have significant physical, psychological, and social consequences, most notably alcohol use disorder (AUD). Some research indicates the existence of emotional memory biases associated with risky alcohol consumption patterns, with a tendency to recall emotionally negative information. The objective of this study was to demonstrate the presence of emotional memory biases in people with AUD with early adulthood onset. Eighty-four participants (aged 25 to 39 years) participated: 64 controls and 20 cases diagnosed with AUD. An assessment protocol was administered that included an interview to determine the individual's prior conditions and lifetime alcohol and substance use. A neuropsychological battery was administered, including a word learning test with emotional valence. The results showed that the immediate recall rate of negative words was higher in cases than in controls, with no differences by sex. Emotional bias was associated with consumption pattern and difficulties in emotional regulation. These results could be due to difficulties in emotional processing and cognitive control in individuals with AUD. Further research is needed to determine the importance of emotional regulation in interventions for AUD.

Natural disasters such as earthquakes, forest fires, hurricanes or floods are unpredictable and have a devastating impact on the mental health of the population that suffers them, especially children and adolescents, as they are a more vulnerable group. This paper reviews the effectiveness of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) in this population in crisis and emergency contexts. The objectives are, therefore, to analyze the effectiveness of the EMDR protocol and the modifications necessary to work with children and adolescents, as well as to design an intervention program adapted to their needs. 18 studies with a total of 1,387 participants were selected through the Scopus, PubMed and PsycInfo databases. The results show that EMDR is effective in reducing symptoms associated with the traumatic event, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression, standing out for its efficiency in terms of time compared to other trauma-focused therapies. The applied proposal is a group intervention program based on the EMDR protocol, designed to address the needs of children and adolescents affected by a recent natural disaster, the DANA in Valencia.

Summary
Plastic pollution is a social and environmental issue with a significant impact today. While reducing plastic use represents a significant shift in consumer habits, recycling is presented as a more accessible alternative that can facilitate the transition to more sustainable behaviors. To encourage changes in recycling habits, it is necessary to reach citizens with effective messages, and social media has proven to be a useful channel for raising awareness and informing. However, studies that have analyzed the relationship between plastic recycling and social media are scarce. Therefore, there is a need to delve deeper into this area of study and explore the application of this knowledge in social and community interventions. This work aims to conduct a systematic review of the use of social media in promoting plastic recycling and, based on the results, design a proposal for an intervention aimed at citizens. To this end, a total of 19 studies were reviewed using the PRISMA methodology. From the analysis of these studies, we can conclude that factors such as environmental awareness and sociodemographic characteristics influence plastic recycling, that social media is the preferred means of obtaining information about recycling, and that social media offers strategies that strengthen recycling adoption, such as positive communication.

Summary
Suicidal ideation is a phenomenon influenced by multiple factors. This systematic review examined risk factors in individuals aged 40 and older, with special attention to sociodemographic variables such as place of residence (rural or urban), gender, and age, as well as psychological factors. A search was conducted in the PubMed and PsycInfo databases, including 25 studies published in the last 30 years. The results showed that: (1) among sociodemographic variables, rather than the rural or urban environment itself, suicidal ideation was determined by social isolation and barriers to accessing mental health services in rural areas, and by stress and social disconnection in urban areas; (2) depression was the main psychological risk factor; (3) females showed greater vulnerability due to their association with affective disorders, and age increased the risk as it was linked to physical deterioration and dependence; (4) lack of social support and the perception of loneliness were key factors, especially when coexisting with mental disorders or stressful events. The findings highlight the need to adopt preventive strategies tailored to sociodemographic and psychosocial factors.

Summary
LGBTQ+ adolescents and youth are at increased risk for a variety of mental health problems. According to Minority Stress Theory, this is due to distal and proximal stressors that create a hostile and stressful social environment. However, psychological treatments specifically designed for this population are scarce. For this reason, in the present work, a literature review was conducted with the aim of identifying the scientific evidence regarding psychological interventions specifically designed to improve the mental health of LGBTQ+ adolescents and youth, as well as the characteristics of the interventions, their efficacy, and the limitations of the current literature. The review of empirical evidence allows to conclude that this is an emerging field of research, so the interventions are heterogeneous but promising for the time being. They share an emphasis on improving coping with minority stress and creating affirmative spaces. Currently, the most promising interventions seem to be those based on affirmative CBT, ABFT and school-based programs, especially for the treatment of depression. Finally, a proposal is made for a group psychological intervention for LGBTQ+ adolescents.

Summary
In this Final Master Document a bibliographic revision of cognitive conductual rehabilitation is realized in people with Borderline Personality Disorder. Results demonstarte that there is a relation between BPD and cognitive deterioration. This way, attention, memory and hability for planning (specially related to the level of impulsivity shown) is affected. Because of these, a proposal of a cognitive intervention of a cognitive conductual type is done. This consists on improving the levels of attention, memory and cognitive flexibility, to improve this capabilities and the global symptoms of BPD.

Summary
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects approximately 8.4% of children and 2.5% of adults worldwide. To address the needs of this population, various interventions are available at psychological, social, academic, and pharmacological levels, the latter being the most commonly used treatment. One of the primary concerns regarding pharmacological treatment in this group has been the risk of a possible substance use disorder, given that among adults with ADHD, the prevalence of this disorder is 45%. However, the effect that pharmacotherapy may have on this relationship remains unclear. The aim of this systematic review is to explore the potential protective effect of stimulant medication, which is commonly used in ADHD treatment, on the relationship between ADHD and substance use. To achieve this, a bibliographic search was conducted, leading to the selection of 15 observational studies that examined this effect. The results of the systematic review showed that stimulant medication is associated with a reduction in the likelihood of developing a substance use disorder (SUD) in ADHD in 73.33% of the studies, especially when treatment begins in childhood. These findings highlight the importance of medication adherence in these populations, particularly when dealing with high-risk substance use individuals.

Summary
Home renal replacement therapies have become increasingly relevant in recent years, thanks to the multiple advantages associated with their use at home. However, the scientific literature on the impact of these treatments on different psychological variables is limited and heterogeneous. The aim of this literature review is to analyze the differences between home modalities on quality of life, anxiety, depression and social support in patients with chronic kidney disease. A literature review was conducted in scientific databases, selecting 14 empirical studies comparing these treatments using standardized instruments. The results indicate that home hemodialysis and automated peritoneal dialysis tend to offer better outcomes in quality of life and emotional well-being compared to continuous peritoneal dialysis, although the evidence remains heterogeneous and clinical and sociodemographic factors also influence these results. The conclusions suggest that the selection of home treatment should consider not only clinical aspects, but also the psychosocial needs of the patients. Finally, a proposal for intervention aimed at improving psychological well-being in these patients is presented in order to optimize adaptation to treatment and reduce the associated emotional burden.

Summary
Difficulties in social interaction and emotional recognition and expression are core features of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) that often compromise adaptation to the environment. To address these challenges, there has been growing interest in serious games as potential digital tools for psychological intervention. This study aims to review the current evidence regarding the use of such games in developing socioemotional skills in children and adolescents with ASD, and to propose an intervention framework. Following the PRISMA methodology, 17 studies published in PsycInfo, Web of Science and Scopus over the last decade were selected and analysed. Findings indicate improvements in several social skills among ASD participants compared to baseline measures and, in some domains, also compared to the typically developing group. An enhancement in emotion recognition was observed, although gains in expression were inconsistent. Drawing on existing literature, an intervention based on a videogame was designed to promote the development of these skills, consisting of nine sessions (six targeting children and three aimed at families), along with two assessment sessions. The game’s components include immediate feedback, positive reinforcement, modelling and stimulus control. Overall, serious games seem to offer a flexible and safe context for fostering socio-emotional skills in ASD individuals.

Summary
Obesity is a growing health problem, especially prevalent in people with schizophrenia, due to the side effects of medication, sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy diets. This condition has detrimental consequences for the physical and mental health of those who suffer from it, affecting their quality of life and reducing their life expectancy. The current approach to address this problem focuses on a posteriori intervention, presenting difficulties in maintaining the results in the long term. Given that the greatest weight gain occurs in the first months after the start of treatment, this period is ideal for implementing preventive interventions. The aim of the present work is to design an overweight and obesity prevention program aimed at people with schizophrenia starting pharmacological treatment. We will seek to overcome the limitations of previous studies by extending the duration of the intervention, including a follow- up phase to ensure the maintenance of results, and using motivational techniques to avoid dropout. Although this program has the potential to improve the physical and mental health of the participants, it would be necessary to implement it in order to evaluate its long-term effectiveness and optimize its resources.

Summary
This study examines the perceptions of Galician youth regarding social entrepreneurship, as well as the factors that influence or facilitate its implementation in the local context. The research was structured in three complementary phases. The first involved consulting stakeholders from the local socioeconomic environment through a focus group, with the aim of reaching a shared operational and causal definition of the phenomenon, while also identifying key challenges faced by young people. The second phase consisted of a systematic review of the scientific literature in the field of Psychology concerning the promotion of social entrepreneurship among youth. The third phase involved a discussion group with young participants, intended to contrast and contextualize the previous findings within the specific sociocultural setting. The analysis identified key factors such as empathy, moral obligation, perceived selfefficacy, and both social and cultural capital as central to the intention to engage in social entrepreneurship. Based on these results, the recommendations are directed primarily toward educational institutions and public administrations, rather than directly to young entrepreneurs themselves. Proposed actions include the integration of cross-cutting content (such as ethics, financial literacy, and networking) into university curricula, along with the development of institutional support programs, civil servant training, and youth oriented communication campaigns, based on the principle of “informational microdoses.” The document concludes with a concise policy brief and a table with proposals both aimed at facilitating the dissemination of the study’s findings.

Summary
Mood and anxiety disorders have become more prevalent, with emerging adulthood being a particularly vulnerable stage. Proposed risk factors include deficits in understanding other people's mental states or theory of mind (ToM). The aim of this investigation was to conduct a pilot feasibility study for a research project on ToM and vulnerability to anxiety and depression in university students. The Rumination Response Scale (RRS) and the Penn State Worry Questionnaire (PSWQ) were administered collectively in the classroom to identify students with greater vulnerability to anxiety and depression and a control group. Depression, anxiety and ToM symptoms were assessed individually using the BDI-II, BAI and the Movie for the Assessment of Social Cognition (MASC), respectively. We determined the adequacy and operability of the protocol, the sample size estimation, the validity of the scales, the differences in ToM performance and the logistical measures to be modified. The results showed that the protocol is viable, that gender differences must be considered in the estimation and sample selection criteria, and that the instruments are valid. In summary, the feasibility of the research project was confirmed.

Summary
Theory of mind (ToM), the core component of social cognition, has been associated with the severity of autistic symptoms and social functioning in ASD. Although social skills interventions have been shown to be effective, the role of ToM in these interventions has been little studied. This review included 13 studies that incorporated ToM as an active component in social skills interventions in adolescents with ASD. All interventions were found to improve social skills; however, only half of the ToM measures showed improvement. The educational context was the most commonly used setting for interventions and the one that achieved the highest level of effectiveness. The usefulness of incorporating trained peers into the intervention and using visually scaffolded materials was demonstrated. Incorporating a family component could have a positive impact on adolescents and their families. Most studies showed improvements in the degree of social dysfunction of participants and good generalisation to family and academic contexts. The multimodal approach to social skills and ToM offers a range of opportunities for conducting effective interventions in the adolescent ASD population.

Summary
School expulsion is a disciplinary measure that can have negative consequences on the educational and personal trajectory of students, especially in adolescence, where processes of vulnerability, identity construction and search for recognition converge. This work proposes an educational intervention aimed at addressing these situations from a community and restorative perspective, taking Milladoiro Secondary School as a starting point. The proposal consists of the design of a structured intervention to be developed in the school itself, actively involving all internal agents: students, teachers, management team, families and community. The methodology combines a community intervention approach with participatory tools and group dynamics, formulating specific actions both for the expelled students and for the educational community as a whole. The intervention is organised in different phases, starting with a participatory diagnosis and continuing with actions adapted to each group. It proposes spaces for dialogue, reflection and reparation, with the aim of reducing the reoccurrence of disruptive behaviour and reinforcing the sense of belonging to the centre. As it has not been possible to implement the intervention, this paper focuses on the detailed description of the proposal and the theoretical analysis of its feasibility and possible limitations. The final discussion includes a critical assessment of the conditions necessary for the effective implementation of such interventions in the school context.

Summary
Suicide is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and effective intervention strategies are needed to prevent it. Cognitive Behavioural therapy has been proven useful in addressing the cognitions and behaviours of patients at risk of suicide. The aim of this of this research is to analyse the effectiveness of interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy applied to people at risk of suicide. To this end, a systematic review of randomised clinical trials published in the last 20 years was carried out, following the criteria of the PRISMA statement criteria. An exhaustive search was conducted in which 13 studies were selected from those obtained from the Web of Science, PubMed, PsycInfo and Scopus databases. The results found a positive relationship between interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and the reduction of future suicide attempts, suicidal ideation, depressive symptoms and hopelessness. It highlights the need for further research in order to be able to corroborate and extrapolate these results. Thus, a proposal is made for an intervention aimed at reducing the risk of suicide in vulnerable university population.

Summary
Behavioral problems in childhood and adolescence represent a growing concern due to their high prevalence, temporal stability, and negative consequences at the individual, social and academic levels. Therefore, it is essential to adopt preventive strategies that help curb their onset and development. In this regard, social skills have been identified as a key element in preventing these problems. The main objective of this Master’s Thesis is to analyze, through a systematic review, the effectiveness of social skills training programs in preventing behavioral problems in children and adolescents. To this end, 18 articles published in the last 15 years in different databases were selected. The results show the overall effectiveness of the programs reviewed. In addition, additional benefits were observed in variables such as the reduction of internalizing problems and increased academic performance. Furthermore, the characteristics of the programs (components, preventive approach, target age, or implementation profile) that may condition the effectiveness of the programs were examined. However, important limitations were identified, such as the scarcity of long-term evaluations of this type of intervention and the difficulty of conceptually defining the construct of social skills. Finally, a proposal for intervention is presented, focusing on social skills training aimed at students aged 10 to 12, for the prevention of behavioral problems in adolescence.

Summary
Child Maltreatment (CM) refers to any form of abuse or neglect that affects a child or adolescent under the age of 18 and is classified into four main types: sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, as well as neglect. This traumatic experience leads to numerous adverse effects across cognitive, physical, behavioral, emotional, and social domains, with suicidal behaviors being one of the most severe consequences of CM. The present study conducted a literature review with a dual objective: to analyze the relationship between CM and suicidal behaviors and to identify the potential mediating variables in this association. The findings indicated that the connection between CM and suicidal behaviors is significant; however, in some cases, this relationship is fully or partially explained by different mediating variables. In this regard, the literature has identified various variables that can be categorized into risk and protective factors, which in turn can be further classified as either personal or psychosocial. Finally, based on the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A) and considering the relevant variables identified in the review, an intervention proposal was developed with the aim of reducing both suicidal behaviors and the impact of trauma resulting from CM.

Summary
Emotional regulation is a key factor in understanding and intervening in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), since difficulties in this regard are associated with the severity, chronicity and maintenance of the disorder. The aim of the present study was to conduct a systematic review of the emotional regulation strategies used by people with this diagnosis, in order to identify them and analyse their effectiveness. For this purpose, the databases Scopus, Web of Science and PsycInfo were consulted, where 14 articles were selected. The analysis of results revealed a predominance of maladaptive emotional regulation strategies among individuals with BPD, while adaptive strategies are used less frequently and less effectively. However, it was observed that the latter can be enhanced through structured training. Based on these findings, an applied approach was designed based on the assessment of the individual regulatory repertoire to reduce maladaptive strategies and to strengthen adaptive strategies in people diagnosed with BPD.

Summary
Although the prevalence of smoking has decreased in recent years, smoking remains the leading cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Among the various interventions proposed to quit smoking, there is evidence of the potential that physical activity can have in aiding smoking cessation. To explore this issue, a bibliographic review was conducted with the goal of both understanding the effectiveness of interventions that use physical activity to quit smoking and the structure of these interventions in order to develop an intervention proposal. After reviewing a total of 30 randomized controlled trials, contradictory results were found, although most of the evidence suggests that there is no effect of physical activity on tobacco abstinence.. However, no solid conclusions can be drawn from this review due to the methodological limitations of the studies reviewed, indicating that further research in this area is required. Finally, a proposal for a smoking cessation intervention with a physical activity component is presented, focusing on addressing some of the limitations identified in the reviewed interventions.

Summary
The best known and most studied consequence of the aging process in the biological dimension is the deterioration of organic systems and the consequent reduction of physical vigor in the elderly. The decrease in physical capacity is especially relevant because it compromises functionality and independence, negatively affecting the sense of self-efficacy, self-esteem and emotional well-being, and can generate symptoms of anxiety and depression. Various studies maintain that the practice of Yoga is beneficial for the elderly, since it favors the slowing down of physical deterioration, and preserves emotional well-being. With the aim of contributing to the prevention and care of physical and mental health, this work presents an intervention program based on Yoga for the elderly, with twelve one-hour sessions, in which stretching, muscle toning and strength exercises are proposed. The aim is to influence the nervous system to reduce anxiety, attenuate depressive symptoms and improve fitness and physical condition. To evaluate the results of the program, the Geriatric Anxiety Scale, the Geriatric Depression Scale, the Short Physical Performance Battery and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire will be used. An improvement in the physical and emotional aspects of the participants is expected.

Summary
Suicide is a global public health problem. Despite the efforts in identification and prevention, a decrease in prevalence is not observed. There are currently new procedures for identifying people at risk of suicide using Machine Learning models, which can use different sources of data, such as social networks. The aim of this work was to carry out a systematic review of the scientific literature to characterize the Machine Learning models used in the identification of suicidal risk in social networks, examining the linguistic and metadata patterns that differentiate users at suicidal risk from the rest and analyzing their quality predictive. A systematic review of the last five years was carried out according to the PRISMA criteria. The search was carried out in the PsychInfo, Web of Science and Medline databases. A total of 18 studies were included, and their risk of bias was analyzed. It has been found that Machine Learning algorithms can be a useful support tool for healthcare professionals because they enable automated monitoring of suicidal risk in virtual contexts. Most studies presented a high risk of bias. Finally, a cognitive-behavioral intervention program is proposed for people detected by the application who present suicidal ideation.

Summary
Frontal Lobe Epilepsy (FLE) is the second most common type of focal epilepsy, drug-resistant, and often requires epilepsy surgery. In addition to its symptoms, FLE has significant neuropsychological consequences. Despite its impact, the understanding of its cognitive deficits and the development of specific protocols for its assessment remains a challenge due to the complexity of the frontal lobe and the influence of others factors. Therefore, the main objective of this work was to develop a proposal for an evaluation protocol based on the synthesis of available evidence on the neuropsychological consequences of FLE. Furthermore, studies that included a group of adults with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (TLE) were added to attempt to differentiate between both focal epilepsies. The systematic review showed that patients with FLE exhibited cognitive impairments in social cognition, autobiographical and working memory and executive functions compared to healthy people, so these were the cognitive domains assessed in the protocol. However, differentiating it from the TLE proved challenging due to the functional interconnection between the areas. In conclusion, although this work has allowed progress in the evaluation and understanding of FLE, additional research is still needed to provide more evidence.

Summary
Chronic kidney disease can impact mood, and disorders such as depression and anxiety can develop. In addition, it can influence the perception of social support and quality of life. The objective of this systematic review is to analyze the differences between women and men in variables such as depression, anxiety, social support, and quality of life in patients undergoing renal replacement therapy and to elaborate an intervention protocol according to the results. A systematic search was carried out until January 31, 2025, in Medline, Web of Science and PsycInfo, selecting 18 studies. The results are mostly agree that depression in hemodialysis patients is significantly more prevalent in women than in men, as is anxiety, although the evidence is limited. Regarding social support, no significant differences were found, but more research is needed. About quality of life, some studies find that women have lower scores than men; in others, after controlling for sociodemographic, clinical and/or psychosocial variables, these differences are reduced or canceled. In kidney transplantation or peritoneal dialysis, the evidence is scarce. Finally, an applied proposal is included aimed at improving the psychological well-being from a gender perspective.

Summary
Cannabis is the most used illegal drug in Europe, and, nowadays, the one that has become the most popular among young people. The high prevalence of consumption combined with its multiple potential negative consequences have motivated this paper, the objective of which is to understand psychological interventions which have shown higher effectiveness in the treatment of cannabis-use disorder (CUD), and to explore new proposals with potential to achieve positive results for users. To this end, several published papers were reviewed from the last four years through Psycinfo, Web of Science and Pubmed databases, selecting a total of eighteen studies. These papers address investigations focused on intervention, targeting neural mechanisms that influence consumption behaviour, in programmes based on different therapeutic approaches and the use of new technology as the main or secondary tool in each intervention. The existence of certain limitations when conducting the studies, shows the need for a higher number of investigations to achieve reliable results with a wide potential application. Given the high prevalence of consumption among young people, a group program online is proposed, formed of eight sessions to lower the consumption of cannabis among the participants.

Summary
Alcohol is the most widely consumed psychoactive substance worldwide despite its physical and psychological consequences, making it a significant public health issue. This study aims to review scientific literature on the effectiveness of psychological interventions in addressing alcohol-related problems in adults, based on 21 studies. The results have been analyzed according to the psychological techniques used and the delivery format: in-person or online. Positive outcomes have been observed with interventions based on cognitive-behavioral techniques, brief motivational intervention, and third-generation therapies in various formats. Cue exposure through virtual reality and expressive writing appear to be promising techniques, whereas neurofeedback, personalized cognitive-behavioral therapy, and attentional bias modification did not demonstrate effectiveness, except when the latter was adapted to an imaginative approach. A cognitive behavioral therapy-based intervention is proposed, delivered via video call and supported by a website, targeting the metropolitan area of Vigo's population at risk of alcohol consumption.

Summary
This Master's Thesis presents a psychosocial intervention proposal aimed at a team of social educators working in a small residential facility within the child protection system. The intervention emerges as a response to the highly demanding nature of this professional context, characterized by intense emotional strain and notable structural instability. These conditions make the team particularly vulnerable to burnout and other indicators of psychological distress. The main goal of the program is to prevent burnout and promote emotional well-being through a structured plan that combines group and individual sessions. Group sessions focus on self-care, mindfulness, and team cohesion, while individual sessions provide personalized spaces for adapting strategies to each participant's specific needs. Validated quantitative tools will be used, as the Burnout inventory of Maslach (MBI), the Assessing Self-Care in Psychologists (SCAP) scale and the Team Climate Inventory (TCI), which will be applied before and after the intervention. Also, at the beginning of the process, participatory qualitative techniques, such as short interviews and the collective construction of a SWOT analysis will be used. The implementation of the program is expected to significantly reduce work-related stress, improve interpersonal dynamics within the team, and foster greater staff stability in a system especially affected by high turnover and emotional exhaustion.

Summary
Conduct problems develop during childhood across different trajectories, some of which are associated with more severe consequences, and it is therefore necessary to know their development in depth in order to prevent them and tailor interventions. Aiming to clarify these trajectories, the present study follows a longitudinal design that consists of five data collection waves (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5) in a sample of 333 school-aged children (45.3% girls; Mage = 10.37; SD = 0.9). A predictive model of conduct problems is analyzed, encompassing physiological variables of emotional processing measured through reactivity in electrodermal activity, and through which the effects of temperament, parenting, callous-unemotional traits, and empathy are studied, as well as possible mediation effects. The results confirm developmental pathways of conduct problems through low fear, parental inconsistency, and callous-unemotional traits, and suggest a marginal effect of affective empathy in fear reactivity. Finally, the limitations and practical implications of the findings, as well as possible future directions, are discussed.

Summary
This study aims to review the available scientific literature on the characteristic neuropsychological profile of long COVID. To this end, a systematic review was conducted using the PubMed and Web of Science databases, applying predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show that the neuropsychological profile is not yet clearly defined due to the recent emergence of the syndrome and methodological heterogeneity among studies. However, there is general agreement that the most affected cognitive functions are attention, processing speed, and executive functions. Other domains, such as memory, language, and visuospatial abilities, appear to be less consistently affected and show greater variability across studies. A high prevalence of anxiety and depressive symptoms is also observed, which tend to persist over time, unlike cognitive difficulties, which show some improvement. Several risk factors have been identified in relation to post-COVID cognitive performance, including comorbidities and complications during the acute phase (e.g., ICU admission). As an applied proposal, a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment battery is presented, addressing specific cognitive functions, fatigue, psychiatric symptoms, and the functional and quality-of-life impact of long COVID.

Summary
Background: Emotional disorders are highly prevalent and comorbid with each other, causing remarkable suffering and resource consumption. Therefore, there has been an increased interest in investigating their etiology and maintenance, in order to develop effective treatments for these disorders. In this framework, the transdiagnostic perspective has allowed the study of the role played by different transdiagnostic processes related to psychopathology. Objective: The present review seeks to corroborate the influence of two transdiagnostic variables, experiential avoidance and emotion (dys)regulation, on the development and/or maintenance of emotional disorders. In addition, the relationship between these variables and their association with emotional symptomatology is also examined. Design: Three databases were used to identify articles between 2012 and 2025, selecting 25 publications. Results: It is corroborated that both experiential avoidance and emotion (dys)regulation influence the etiology and/or maintenance of emotional disorders. It is also shown that there is a relationship between both variables, without reaching a clear consensus on how this occurs. Conclusion: Both variables play a role in the etiology and/or maintenance of emotional disorders, although the influence of other transdiagnostic variables needs to be further investigated in order to develop optimal treatments.

Summary
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects the development of social, communicative, and adaptive skills, which can hinder active participation in both educational and social contexts. In response to this reality, various proposals have been developed focusing on support and social environmental adaptation to promote inclusion. Accordingly, this work presents a school accompaniment and social participation program aimed at students with ASD, based on the TEACCH methodology and the model of social inclusion. Structured interventions were designed for both the classroom and complementary school activities, with the goal of adaptating the environment, and facilitating peer interaction, and student autonomy. The results show improvements in the active participation and emotional well-being of students with ASD, as well as increased awareness within the community. Therefore, the implementation of this program is proposed as a viable tool to move toward a more inclusive school system that better responds to the needs of students with functional diversity.

Summary
In recent decades, cannabis use has increased significantly worldwide, becoming one of the most widely consumed illegal drugs even among individuals with severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia. Based on this, the aim of the present study is to analyze the impact of cannabis use on the clinical course of individuals with psychotic disorders through a systematic review of the available scientific literature. The main findings indicate that prolonged cannabis use is associated with a worsening of psychotic symptoms (although there is still no solid consensus regarding which symptom dimension is most affected) a deterioration in social functioning, an increased risk of relapse, and a reduction in adherence to antipsychotic treatment. However, no clear association was found with cognitive functioning impairment. Additionally, several studies suggest that discontinuing cannabis use may lead to clinical improvement in certain areas. Based on the information gathered, an intervention proposal has been developed to address cannabis use in patients with psychotic disorders, with the aim of reducing its negative impact and promoting a more favorable clinical course.

Summary
This study aims to analyze the predictors of collective action participation in relation to prostitution, identifying the variables that influence this behavior. Through a series of regression models, moral obligation has been found to be the most relevant and consistent predictor across all analyses. This highlights the importance of ethical motivation and a sense of social responsibility as fundamental drivers in mobilizing citizens regarding their views on prostitution. Although variables such as social justice ideals, perceived collective action efficacy, and perceived social support correlate positively with collective action, they have not emerged as significant predictors in the final models. This suggests that their impact may be more indirect, possibly acting as antecedents or facilitators of the sense of moral obligation. Additionally, the perception of personal choice was identified as an ideological barrier that reduces participation in collective action, as those who consider prostitution a personal choice are less likely to engage in causes opposing it. In terms of intervention implications, the findings suggest that awareness strategies and advocacy campaigns should focus on strengthening the ethical component of social participation, promoting moral responsibility, social justice, and human rights in the context of prostitution.

Summary
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a chronic mental health condition characterized by mood changes and impulsivity, which, along with other symptoms, can influence sexual behavior and promote risk-taking behaviors related to the acquisition of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). The aim of this systematic review is to analyze research performed in past decade regarding this relationship. Utilizing the PRISMA statement, the results indicate that: 1) BPD diagnosis is associated with an increase in sexual risk behaviors, such as lower use of protection and a higher number of sexual partners and temporal relationships, 2) BPD diagnosis correlates with a higher risk of STI acquisition across all age and gender groups, particularly among adolescents and young adults, and 3) variables such as emotional dysregulation and risk perception influence this relationship. In addition to future lines of research focused on the reconceptualization of the disorder, an applied proposal for a prevention program targeting adolescents is presented, which addresses both emotional aspects and sexual practices, with the aim of reducing the impact of STIs in this vulnerable population.

Summary
This study aims to analyze the characteristics of secondary Callous-Unemotional (CU) traits in children and adolescents, as well as their main correlates. To this end, a systematic review of empirical studies was conducted, taking into account methodological aspects such as study design, sample characteristics, assessment instruments, and associated variables. The main findings indicate that secondary CU traits are associated with high levels of emotional dysregulation, difficulties in affective processing, early adverse experiences, and dysfunctional parenting styles. Furthermore, the literature reveals considerable conceptual and evaluative heterogeneity, highlighting the need to move toward a more unified theoretical and methodological framework. Based on these results, and with the aim of contributing to the development of more specific interventions, an adapted PCIT-CU therapeutic proposal is presented, targeting children with secondary CU traits and structured into three modules focused primarily on parental training and emotional development.

Summary
Dissociation, understood as a pattern of mental disconnection in response to internal or external experiences that are perceived as overwhelming, has traditionally been studied within the framework of trauma, leaving other possible ways of manifestation unexplored. At the same time, the growing number of adults diagnosed with or self-identifying as having ADHD raises questions about the explanatory scope of this category, especially when relational or contextual dimensions are omitted. This study aims to review the relationship between attention deficits and dissociative processes in order to subsequently design an adapted intervention. The review identified four interpretive frameworks: symptomatic overlap, dissociation as a mediator, ADHD as a manifestation of trauma, and no relationship. Based on the results, an intervention based on the mentalization-based treatment (MBT) and internal family systems (IFS), together with somatic regulation techniques, is proposed to promote a functional and compassionate understanding of the symptoms and strengthen personal agency.
