Be competent in the diagnosis, planning and clinical execution of simple dental prostheses, including the implications of proper patient management. Diagnosis and basic management of the patient with temporomandibular disorder.
Theoretical lessons, seminars, preclinical, technological practice and clinical practice on patients. Virtual course.
COGNOSCITIVE SCOPE will be measured by taking ONE PARTIAL AND ONE FINAL WRITTEN EXAM.
The tests will be organized as follows:
- A written PRAC-type, with 5 to 10 questions
- Type test exam
The partial written exam, of a liberatory nature, will be carried out at the end of the first semester; includes the thematic blocks FIXED DENTAL PROSTHESIS, except implant-supported prostheses. It will be liberating if the grade obtained is at least 7 out of 10.
The final test, of the part not released and / or of the entire subject, will take place on the dates determined by the Faculty Teaching Commission.
Regarding the SENSITIVE-MOTOR AND AFFECTIVE FIELDS, we carry out the continuous evaluation.
There may also be a practical and / or theoretical-practical test.
Attendance at both theoretical and practical classes will be mandatory and a requirement to pass the course. You must pass the practical part in the June call.
It is essential to independently pass the theoretical and practical parts, since if the student does not pass one of them, he or she will not be able to pass the discipline.
The final grade is obtained with the sum of the partial grades of the theoretical, practical, preclinical and clinical blocks.
The influence of each block in the final qualification will be:
- Theoretical block rating: 40%.
- Preclinical practice block rating: 25%
- Clinical practice block rating: 35%
• Study: An hour and a half for each theoretical lesson. 75 hours.
• Tutoring: An hour and a half face-to-face each semester per student for the clarification of doubts prior to the exams and half an hour of the student prior to the tutorial for the preparation of their doubts.
• Preparation of seminars: Twelve hours per student.
• Exam preparation: One hour of reinforcement for each theoretical lesson (60 hours), 3 hours for the bibliography consultation, 6 hours for the integration of concepts AND 3 hours for taking the exams (an hour and a half exam per quarter).
Attend tutorials.
Actively participate in sessions and virtual course (theory classes, seminars and clinical sessions).
Review the knowledge acquired weekly. The time that should be devoted to the subject is a function of the use and understanding that is obtained in the classes.
Voluntary assessment tests.
Consultation of the recommended bibliography and exposition in the tutorials of the doubts that may arise.
Use class notes only as guiding scripts.
Knowledge of English is recommended to access existing international information on the subject.
