Provide students with the investigative and communication skills established in the Study Plan.
Realization and public defense in court of an investigative work directed by a tutor.
It consists of the elaboration, by the student, individually, under the supervision of an academic tutor,
of an original work in which the training content received, capacities, competencies and skills in research and communication, acquired during the studies of the Degree in Dentistry, are integrated and developed.
It will include, as a minimum, bibliographic search and review tasks, reading and integration of information, preparation of relevant results, writing, and presentation and defense of the work. It will be oriented to the evaluation of the competences associated with the degree such as: training for the procurement, management, organization and interpretation of relevant data, normally from their area of study; make judgments that include a reflection on outstanding issues of a social, scientific, technological or ethical nature, and that facilitate the development of critical, logical and creative thinking and judgment.
According to the student's knowledge and the nature of the TFGM, the tutor will recommend the bibliography that he considers appropriate.

The student will be supervised by a tutor who will propose relevant questions that may be the subject of a research project in which the student can apply previously acquired knowledge and skills.
Under the supervision of the tutor, the student will write a report with the proposed contents as work, using bibliographic information sources, consultation of clinical, experimental, epidemiological data, etc.
The tutor will guide the student and monitor the process of preparing the TFG.
The tutor must evaluate the work done by the student and the research report prepared. The tutor's grade will be between 0 and 10, and only those works with a grade greater than or equal to 5 will be publicly defended.
The public defense of the research work will be carried out on the dates established for each of the existing calls in each academic year. The defense will be carried out before a tribunal made up of 3 members, all professors of the Degree in Dentistry. The defense will have a maximum duration of 25 minutes, of which a maximum of 15 minutes will correspond to the presentation, followed by 10 minutes for question time by the members of the court. The court will issue a single rating achieved by consensus of the members or by the average of the ratings of each member in case the consensus is not reached.
To be able to present and defend the TFGM in the established calls, the students must have passed all the credits, theoretical and practical, corresponding to the study plan of the Degree with a Master's level in Dentistry.
Once the act is finished, the Court will proceed to deliberate the rating. To overcome public defense, the note issued by the court must be equal to or greater than 5.
The final qualification of the subject will be carried out according to the following scale:
- 60% tutor rating (0-10)
- 40% Defense rating (0-10)
Those students who do not pass the public defense will be able to make a new defense of the work in the second call. In the case of not passing it in both calls, you must make a new TFGM.
The grade of the subject TFGM will be between 0 and 10 with expression of a decimal, to which its corresponding grade of Suspense can be added (SS, 0-4, 9); Approved (AP, 5.0-6.9); Notable (NT, 7.0-8.9) or Outstanding (SB, 9.0-10).
Any work that can be considered plagiarism or fraudulent will be invalidated and will lead to the appropriate disciplinary measures being taken.
Once the evaluation process of the research works has been completed, the Coordination Commission will study whether any of those rated with Outstanding are deserving of Honor Registration, after hearing the proposals of the acting courts.

In order to present and defend the TFGM, the student must have passed all the credits of the degree.

GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SECURE PRESENTIAL TEACHING
Scenario 1: adapted normality (without restrictions on physical attendance)
The tutorials will be mainly face-to-face, although tutorials can be scheduled electronically.
Evaluation. The final tests will be face-to-face.
Contingency Plan
Scenario 2: distancing (partial restrictions on physical attendance)
Tutoring. They will be electronically.
Evaluation. The final tests will preferably be telematic.
Scenario 3: closure of the facilities (impossibility of teaching in person)
Tutoring. Exclusively by telematic means.
Evaluation. The final tests, if applicable, will be telematic. In the same way as in academic year 19-20, the evaluation system could be modified (Addendum TFG Odontología 19-20)
In cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of student academic performance and review of grades will apply.
