Acquisition of the necessary knowledges on the foundations of the surgery. These foundations are common to all the areas and branches of the surgery, by which the student must know them before initiating in the study of the distinct surgical specialitys.

Purchase the necessary knowledges on the general and essential appearances of the Surgery, known as the
foundations of the same: biology of the repair, wounds, infections, accidents and urgencies, surgical traumatisms,
the act operatorio, surgery of the transplantation of organ, principles of surgery oncológica and general appearances on anaesthesia and analgesia.
Theoretical classes, seminars and practical.
The theoretical classes and the seminars give in schedule of afternoon in the Faculty of Medicine. The practices will take place the Wednesdays in schedule of morning in the Classroom José Luis Bridge, of the 4ª plant of the University Clinical Hospital.
Examination type test, each question will consist of five answers only one valid.
To approve will be necessary to surpass 50% of the total of the questions of the examination. Each three erroneous answers will embezzle one valid answer.
The total length of the examination will calculate at a rate of 1 minutes by question.
Five weekly hours of study and personal work.
Regular acquisition of the knowledges with the theoretical classes, seminars, and individual work of the students. In case of difficulty, will be able to request a follow-up by means of tutorías offered by the Department.
The assistance to class considers compulsory.
The fault of the same will take into account in the final evaluation of the subject.
