The aim of the Industrial Internship is to complement the training received, by applying the acquired knowledge in the professional and/or research development.
The training internship may have a professional or a research orientation. The student can carry out the stay in a company, public organism, university, research centre, or technological centre that have a cooperation agreement signed with the USC in the context of the Master’s programme, or in a research group of the USC. The contents directly associated to the internship will depend on the hosting company as well as on the specific department to which the student be assigned.

An external tutor at the company will be appointed, along with an academic tutor from within the professorial staff members of the Master’s programme.
The methodology will depend on the activities proposed in the collaborating centres, but it should ensure the acquisition of all the teaching results linked to this course: CN01, CN02, CP01, CP05, CP08, HD01, HD05, HD06, HD08, HD11, HD12. In any case, a reflection on the assigned tasks, their context, the methodologies and procedures that support them, and the composition of the corresponding work team will be sought.
The external tutor and the academic tutor will assess the teaching results linked to this course.
Once the internship in the company/institution is finished, the external tutor will submit a certificate of the activities carried out by the student, together with the corresponding mark, that will represent 40 % of the final grade (CN01, CN02, CP01, CP05, CP08, HD01, HD05,HD06, HD08, HD11, HD12).
After having concluded the internship, the student will submit to her/his academic tutor a report with a description of the activities carried out during the referred internship. This tutor will assess and grade the report, that will represent 60 % of the final grade of this course (CN01, CP08, HD11, HD12).
The course has a work load of 12 ECTS, equivalent to 300 h of total work. The distribution is as follows:
