Objectives
The purpose of this course is to provide the participants with specific psychological training for the development of their work in the field of sports and physical activity. It deals with an innovative proposal that has the task of satisfying the demands, coming from Psychology and related disciplines, to achieve theoretical and practical knowledge in an area in which there are still few possibilities of university education.Following the guidelines of similar postgraduate courses that are being promoted both nationally and internationally, in a line marked by previous postgraduate studies on this subject carried out in the last decade at USC, this course includes three main training pathways that are required to the incorporation of Psychology to the sports environment: (1) psychological advice to athletes and trainers in the field of grassroots sports (2) psychological preparation of athletes and trainers for high performance and (3) promotion of the adherence and maintenance of physical activities (through personalized schemes) as a habit of preventive and rehabilitative health.
