Commentaries: Registration will be made after selection based on the criteria detailed in the section "Access criteria" defined by the Committee of Experts promoting the course, made up of external experts and staff from the USC and GSK. The target audience is healthcare professionals (specifically, specialists in hospital pharmacy, technical staff in health management evaluation, pharmacoeconomics or public health and medical staff specialising in oncology, haematology, rheumatology, internal medicine, preventive medicine, public health, pneumology, allergology and otorhinolaryngology) interested in training in the application of Artificial Intelligence in clinical practice and public health, in particular in relation to concepts and tools for advanced data analysis and machine learning techniques. The course is a distance learning course except for a practical workshop that will take place in the middle of the course.
Mandatory insurance:
17,50€ (Students who formally enroll in their own Postgraduate courses, Continuous Training and Training Program, will also be included the amount of mandatory accident insurance and travel assistance for USC students, as established in current regulations (Council Agreement Government June 29, 2009) and will be issued together with the 1st liquidation of registration. Except in the courses that are 100% virtuous, considered these by academic year; and in the cases in which the students have paid this same insurance in a USC degree in the current academic year.)
Access requirements
The course is aimed at people who are currently practising their profession in Spain and who belong to one of the following profiles: - Hospital Pharmacist - Technical personnel in health management, pharmacoeconomics or public health. - Medical Specialist in Oncology, Haematology, Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Public Health, Pneumology, Allergology or Otolaryngology. It is recommended that candidates have experience or basic knowledge in statistics. These skills will be taken into account in the selection criteria. In order to formalise the inscription, the admitted persons will have to cover a document related to the declaration of transfer of value on the part of GSK. This document will be delivered together with the admission communication to the course. Selection system
Those established in the access requirements. If the applications that meet the requirements exceed the 45 places available, the admission criteria will be according to the order of inscription.
Objectives
That participants, at the end of the course, are able to understand and use AI techniques in their research and healthcare activities.Specific objectives:
- Learn and consolidate the basic concepts to be able to launch and lead Artificial Intelligence projects in your hospitals/representations.
- To practice proposed exercises with low-code/sen code solutions (programming is not necessary).
- Discuss students' ideas to identify potential risks: risks, reputation problems, reliability, etc.
- Focus of this practical training to achieve a 360º view of AI.
- Discover the problems that can be solved with machine learning, as well as the main AI-as-a-service algorithms and solutions.
Career options
The course will be basically non-attendance-based and is structured in two modules.The basic module consists of two introductory subjects to AI (non face-to-face) and 3 live master sessions (also available on a recorded basis).
The advanced module begins with an on-site practical workshop to familiarise students with the AI tools needed to develop the final project, two subjects (non-face-to-face), 4 live master sessions (also available on deferred) and the completion of a final project by the students.
Evaluation
To obtain the certification you have to complete (live or recorded) at least 85% of the hours of each module (basic and advanced) and present a final project.
Tutoring
The course is structured in 2 modules that are developed in 5 subjects, a face-to-face workshop, a personal project and 7 maximum sessions.
Tuesday from 17h to 19h: subject sessions. Thursdays from 17h to 18h: 7 master classes of 1 hour. They can also be completed on a deferred basis in the virtual classroom. Tutorials: Mondays from 17h to 19h.
