Voiced palate-alveolar affricate.
This a lenis or weak consonan. The soft palate is in its raised position and the vocal folds vibrate. This is a compound sound: in the first step, the tip and blade of the tongue touch the alveolar ridge forming a closure which allows friction; secondly, the front of the tongue and the hard palate come into contact and friction is produced as the pulmonic air stream escapes through the mouth.

Voiced palatal fricative.
When we pronounce this sound, the tip of the tongue is placed against the lower front teeth. The front and back of the trongue are in contact with the hard palate. A passage is formed in the centre. A complete closure is not produced. The lung air goes out through that passage in the centre. The velum is in its raised position. So, the lung air cannot go out through the nasal cavity. The vocal folds vibrate during the production of this sound.

Voiced palatal lateral approximant
When we pronounce this pulmonic egressive approximant sound, the middle and back part of the tongue are raised against the hard palate so that the airstream is released along the sides of the tongue without producing friction. It is a voiced oral sound, which means that the soft palate is also raised and the vocal cords vibrate during its articulation.
