Summary
In recent years we are approaching new realities and digital possibilities that can be explored from the fiel of humanities. In this context, this project is born based on the development of an application as a geoportal, which will try to solve the problem of bringing the importance of heritage to citizens in an enjoyable way. This new proposal offers the possibility of learning about heritage and contributing to its conservation in a collaborative way, without the need to go to different information portals. Memory, Heritage and Citizenship (MPC), converge in the App, helping to discover and rediscover feelings and/or memories for many forgotten. In this way, an approximation of the theoretical conceptualization is presented, along with a real application of it (Outes Municipality, A Coruña), converging in this way the field of humanities with technology in a common dialogue in favor of heritage. Let´s travel towards the future taking the present as our starting point, without forgetting the past and with technology as an ally.

Summary
This paper proposes a project to disseminate certain legends and mythical creatures from Galician popular imaginary through virtual reality, making it possible to interact with them. The purpose is to study the legends and creatures that are involved in them, reflecting on their meaning in the social context in which they germinated, and spread them in new formats adapted to the current state of society, considering the breakdown of their spontaneous transmission. In particular, legends about mouras, submerged cities, werewolves, trasnos and apparitions of souls (particularly, the compaña) are adressed. Through the use of new technologies, the project aims to create greater interest in citizens and encourage its preservation in the future, continuing as living heritage.

Summary
The analysis of the green infrastructure in Santiago de Compostela highlights the importance of the river network and riparian forests as key elements for the city. These multifunctional spaces provide cultural, hydrological regulation, and biodiversity conservation benefits. It is essential to establish protection and buffer zones to ensure proper management. The presence of exotic species, such as eucalyptus, poses a risk to biodiversity, despite being an economic resource. Native forests, like the Atlantic forest, must be promoted to mitigate climate change and conserve sustainable ecosystems. Access to green spaces is limited in densely populated urban areas, affected by the heat island effect. To improve this, interventions should be prioritized in areas with less access to green spaces

Summary
This project aims to support a possible heritage digitalization of the Old City of A Coruña. In this sense, we seek to give value to the map as a key digital tool for the dissemination of heritage. We also seek to create a closer relationship with the citizen. To do this, a coherent urban story is created, this gives us the necessary information to carry out the hypothetical project. In addition, we make a critical analysis of the different digital resources that we have at our disposal and which ones are useful when creating our interactive map.

Summary
After the Cortes of Cádiz, the budget for the musical chapel of the Santiago de Compostela’s cathedral was significantly reduced. Therefore, the salaries of its musicians decreased, forcing them to look for second employments outside the religious institution. This revision of the matter was made possible by research papers published regarding the topic, as well as news articles from the following decades. Our objective is to determine towards what events or spaces were these musicians being oriented, along with analysing the consequences of this situation after the Concordat of 1851. Being this period somewhat of a transition, it can be stablished that these ministers must have dealt with an itinerant location, juggling festivities, the Music Band, and the Theatre, among others. This behaviour would cause trouble with the Church, further deteriorating their precarity. Even so, these professionals would not resign from their posts at the cathedral. This constitutes a synthesis of previous studies, such as those published by Pilar Alén or María García Caballero, delving deeper into the thesis that Carlos Villanueva introduces in “De la iglesia al salón: una crónica desde el concordato al motu proprio en Galicia (1851-1903)”.

Summary
The granite industry in Porriño began its journey at the beginning of the 20th century. Since the 1970s and 1980s, it experienced strong expansion, bringing with it economic prosperity and the creation of numerous jobs. However, the terrible environmental working conditions caused a high number of people poisoned by the silica that was suspended in the air; as a result, hundreds of people affected by the industry began to suffer from silicosis. From this work we seek to demonstrate the relationship between economic expansion and the erosion of workers' health. To alleviate the situation of this very harmful context, the action of doctors and health institutions was necessary, which uncovered the cases and demonstrated that the environmental levels were far from being adequate. Furthermore, worker mobilization was essential to achieve an improvement in their conditions and also decent compensation. The contextualization of this work is established within the framework of the Great Acceleration and the Wasteocene. Through interviews and various documents, we seek to reach the level of awareness and responsibility that each actor had within the process.

Summary
In the last decades, cultural astronomy has grown in popularity and scope, which has determined that it is now an established discipline among the other archaeological specialities. In this respect, this project tries to elucidate whether there is any relation between the astronomical world and Roman religion, more specifically by studying the materiality of its temples and sanctuaries. To carry out this task, the orientations of 25 temples were analysed, both from the city of Rome and from different parts of the Latium region, built between the monarchic and republican periods. After the analysis of these data, we have determined that 68% of the buildings analysed have a clear eastward orientation, with significant concentrations at the points corresponding to sunrise at the equinox and the Winter Solstice. These figures show, firstly, that there was a relation between astronomical phenomena and Roman religious architecture. Secondly, they make us question whether the sanctuaries that deviate from this pattern respond to orientation dynamics related to local cults or whether there are other explanations for these anomalies.

Summary
This paper aims to address the Orphic gold tablets from a multidisciplinary perspective, given their dual nature. On the one hand, it seeks to understand the material reality behind their production and use; on the other, it analyzes the original texts inscribed on them. The goal is not to limit the study of the tablets to a single aspect, but rather to approach them by considering the information provided by their multiple dimensions as a whole. The objective of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of Orphic thought through the tablets, considering both their material reality and the symbolic significance involved in their production, use, and textual content.

Summary
The process of integrating new twcnologies into traditionally established fields is one of the defining characteristics of the historical and social context of recent years. For this reason, a new proposal is introduced that incorporates artificial intelligence as a tool for disseminating documentary heritage. The Liber Sancti IAcobi project emerged as a demonstration chatbot or conversational assistant, utilizing generative artificial intelligence to share the content of the manuscript. The central element chosen for this proposal is the Calixtine Codex, a key medieval work for understanding both medieval and contemporary Compostela, containing valuable content that is reflected in current practices. The distinguishing novelty of this proposal is that the chatbot model draws from carefully selected documentary and bibliographic sources, ensuring rigor in its results and transmission. The ultimate goal is to create a tool that users can utilize to resolve questions regarding the origin, evolution, and transformation of the Santiago de Compostela volume, with applications in research, outreach, and even tourism. This will allow users to explore the historical and artistic evolution, as well as learn about figures such as Queen Lupa, the Apostle James, Charlemagne´s relationship with Compostela, the miracles performad by the Apostle, or even the significance of the “traslatio,” among many other unique aspects.

Summary
Owing to new technologies, digital preservation of heritage makes it possible to recover lost or severely deteriorated architectural structures, provided that adequate historical sources are available. Through 3D modeling, this project aims to bring back to life one of the many constructions that once shaped the urban landscape of Santiago de Compostela. Beyond its historical and cultural value, this initiative offers an alternative strategy for decentralizing tourism, reducing pressure on overvisited areas and preventing their accelerated deterioration. In this way, digital heritage preservation not only facilitates conservation and dissemination but also sparks a debate on the protection of popular heritage. Beyond major monuments, it is essential to safeguard the structures that have shaped the city’s identity, contributing to a more sustainable urban environment and a more balanced tourism experience.

Summary
Renewable energies, especially wind power, are often developed in rural areas --regions that frequently face demographic and economic decline. In this context, wind energy development represents an opportunity to revitalize these communities. This study aims to explore how wind energy can drive rural development. It examines the main economic flows that local communities receive from the installation of wind farms and includes a case study of the CMVMC of Baroña, a successful example of how wind energy revenues can support multifunctional land management. Through this approach, the community has generated economic activity and employment in Baroña, while also promoting various socio-cultural initiatives and providing multiple benefits to its members. The findings reveal that the Galician model has largely excluded local communities from wind energy development, granting significant advantages to wind farm developers. This has limited the potential for fostering rural growth. However, the installation of many wind farms on community-owned land (under the framework of MVMC) helps to offset some of these shortcomings. Shared land ownership allows for a fairer distribution of benefits, while local residency requirements ensure that these benefits remain within the community itself.

Summary
Maritime heritage constitutes a fundamental element for understanding the development and identity of coastal communities. The town of Bueu, located in the Morrazo region in Pontevedra, emerges as an ideal setting to analyze, study, and catalog its maritime heritage, as well as to explore strategies for its sustainable management. This study examines potential heritage assets and their current state. It considers those that have disappeared, those that have undergone transformations, those that are still preserved, and those at risk of disappearing. It explores aspects such as the preservation, conservation, and management of tangible assets, such as architectural constructions, boats, fishing gear, etc., and intangible assets, such as trades, markings, or place names, among others. To provide practical relevance, the study seeks to integrate these assets into tourism, educational, and economic dynamics. The purpose of this study is not only to document and evaluate Bueu’s maritime heritage but also to highlight its value as a strategic resource in shaping a local identity. It is important to understand how local communities perceive and participate in the conservation of their heritage, and how this can serve as a driving force for social cohesion and cultural revitalization.

Summary
The present proposal pretends to realize the current condition of conservation, as well as aproach Patrimonial Valuation proposals, starting from three archaeological sites of recent Prehistory, localised in the city of Santiago. From the chronological view it encompass from Neolithic era to Iron Age starting from the study of Mámoa 1 de Sabugueira, the Castriño do Conxo’s Petroglyph and the Saint Eulalia of Bando’s Castro. This study will start from the conservation analysis of these archaeological sites, to develop a series of proposals for their conservation, upkeep and divulgation, for their preservation and Patrimonial Valuation. The information that this document will aport pretends to emphasise the importance of the Compostelan archaeological heritage, placed in the two of the historic pilgrimage roads such as Camiño Francés and Camiño Portugués and the short distance of the city, forgotten in the social memoria, a fact that causes its current state of abandonment and degradation.

Summary
This work aims to contextualise and explain the origin of Banda Deseñada Galega (BDG), diving into its reivindicative character and its heritage importance as a new channel for artistic creation and expression, paying special attention to the impact that Galician art and culture of the 20th century have on its gestation, as well as the role played by underground culture and international countercultural movements in this process. With this in mind, we will begin by describing the antecedents of comics that we find in our territory since the 19th century, as well as the social and cultural changes that shaped Galicia in the last moments of the Franco´s dictatorship, in order to adequately define a context that helps us understand the references and circumstances on which our comics were born. Later on, we will present those authors who promoted the birth of the BDG in the 1970s, explaining how they came into contact with the medium and the vision they had of it, analysing how this materialises in the various comics they produce. To this end, an analytical reading of several selected works will be carried out, paying special attention to those thematic and stylistic features that will allow us to define the unique and identifying aspects of the BDG.

Summary
The present work is based on a previous experience. This dealt with collaborative artistic practices in the contemporary world and the study of three collectives, analysing issues such as the fact that these artistic practices respond to a current conception, but also taking into account the political nature of their discourses. Therefore, based on this analysis, a study was carried out on the presence of collective artistic practices in the collections of the main contemporary Spanish museums, considering, among other factors, whether these museums have echoed these practices and their representation in them. The starting point is a subject that has not been examined in depth at the national level. In this way, and by drawing up an artistic breakdown of collectives in the selected museums (and presenting the dichotomy with the so-called ''couples'' or ''duos'') the aim is to show the museum representation of these groups in Spain.

Summary
During the final century of the Roman Republic, the political system experienced significant turmoil, which was expressed and elaborated through metaphorical language. The image of the political body assumed a central role as a rhetorical device to represent both division and the ideal unity of the republican community. This paper analyzes how such a metaphor was employed to conceptualize institutional crisis and to justify opposing political positions. By examining the internal division of the system and the discourse of authors identified as optimates and populares, we explore how the metaphor becomes a key tool for understanding the decline of the Republic

Summary
This Master’s Thesis analyzes the phenomenon of neorural cinema in Spain, focusing on the case studies of Alcarràs (Carla Simón, 2022) and El Agua (Elena López Riera, 2022). To this end, a historical and social context of the neorural phenomenon is provided, understood as the migration from cities to rural areas, along with an overview of the evolution of Spanish rural cinema from its origins to the present day. Through a qualitative approach, the aesthetic, narrative, and thematic elements that connect and distinguish both productions are examined, situating them within the cultural debate surrounding the concept “España vacía (da)”. Thus, the study explores the role of cinema as a contemporary artistic tool to reflect on the social and territorial transformations of recent decades.

This Master's dissertation aims to review heritage elements which are popular and socially appreciated in everyday life, yet not legitimized or protected by the heritage industry. Through images, places, and non-places, this work will comprise an exemplification of case studies and a reflection on how it is decided what heritage is and what is not. Traversing the contemporary digital paradigm, this dissertation also intends to analyse the pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence, the hyperconnected and hyper-fatigued world, the generation of future digitally born heritage elements, and the construction of a brand new contemporary sensibility through devices that will alter (or has altered) our creative process.

Summary
This study examines the central role of proletarian internationalism in the Partido Obrero de Unificación Marxista (POUM) during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). The paper considers how the defence of internationalism was fundamental in the dispute over the narrative within the Republican side, in the ideological cohesion of the party's militancy and in the war mobilisation carried out by the POUM. From a cultural approach, we will study the relationship between the debates on the national question, the organisation of the militias during the civil war and the quest to lead the republican war effort towards the triumph of the socialist revolution. Based on the hypothesis of the existence of a revolutionary war culture forged throughout the conflict, it will also seek to show the ideological circulation of internationalism ‘from below’, focusing especially on the discourse and use of language of the POUM militiamen.

Summary
This final Master's project aims to explore the various applications of transmedia storytelling within the museum context. When referring to transmedia storytelling, we are addressing a communicative format that disseminates narratives across multiple media platforms, primarily digital, while simultaneously generating a stimulus-response dynamic in the audience. These emerging formats open up innovative avenues for the digital transmission of cultural heritage, actively involving the audience. Museums, in this sense, are called to adopt new strategies for digital communication, thus offering a renewed dimension to these traditionally static institutions through the opportunities enabled by transmedia storytelling.

Summary
This research explores the Metropolitan Area of Vigo, focusing on process, legitimation and prospective. The main objective is the validation, or not, of the research hypothesis, which is the following: the different agents make a general statement that the materialization of the Metropolitan Area of Vigo would improve the quality of life, in terms of supply of public services and their efficiency, of the inhabitants of the 14 municipalities included in it, but the partisan disagreements based on the divergent agendas and political orientations of the different parties, at the different territorial levels, make its implementation impossible. To achieve this objective, a bibliographical analysis is carried out, with special attention to the conceptualization of the term “metropolitan area” and the existing antecedents of this supra-municipal entity, both at international level and in the Spanish case. Methodologically, interviews are carried out with the main actors of the municipalities involved in the Metropolitan Area of Vigo, in order to carry out a discursive analysis. The results obtained show how political conflict is the main reason for the paralysis of this metropolitan entity.

Summary
The aim of this study is to analyze fire dynamics during the recent Prehistory at O Xistral Range. Through the study of microcharcoal particles present in palynological preparations obtained from an 8,000-year-old peat record, the analysis of the spatial patterns of cultural heritage sites, and the review of specialized literature, this work seeks to understand the relationship between past fire regimes and settlement patterns in the area. The counting of microcharcoal particles from a total of 23 samples, covering a chronological framework from ca. 4000 BP to ca. 1050 BP, allowed us to link fire events in the O Xistral Range to the archaeological sites in the area using geographic information systems (GIS). Similarly, the comparison with geochemical data from the same record enabled us to distinguish between fire events at local and regional scales. The impact of fire drastically transformed the landscape from the Late Iron Age and during the Roman period; however, the presence of earlier burning events highlights the importance of its use as early as the Early Bronze Age. Additionally, comparisons with other areas in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula revealed that the landscape transformations resulting from human activity were not uniform across the region, with varying rhythms between the studied areas. It was also observed that certain factors, such as the location of the records, can influence the detection of fire signals, leading to significant differences even between nearby peatlands. Furthermore, the lack of bibliographical references on the archaeological record of O Xistral related to recent Prehistory makes it difficult to connect the sites identified with GIS to fire signals, as the occupation phases remain unknown.
