The aim of this subject is for students to be able to identify the different types of innovation and entrepreneurship, and their application to business projects based on IoT. To do so, they must know and understand the different stages that an innovation goes through, from when it is just an idea until it becomes a marketable product, process or service, and the basic aspects of intellectual and industrial protection, as well as the different sources of funding for an innovative business plan based on developments in IoT technologies.

3.- Business model and plan: agile methodologies for the development and management of the business project.
4.- Sources of financing for technology-based entrepreneurship.

CMP8- Develop a business plan for a business project based on IoT.
CMP12- Integrate knowledge and deal with the complexity of making judgements based on incomplete or limited information, including reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of knowledge and judgements based on IoT.
CMP13- Assume responsibility for one's own professional development and specialisation in one or more fields of study, in a continuous, self-directed and autonomous manner.
HBL14- Predict and control the evolution of complex situations through the development of new and innovative work methodologies adapted to the scientific/industrial field or professional field, in general multidisciplinary, in which their activity is carried out.
The theory class will be developed in the form of a master class. The practical laboratory classes will be articulated in such a way that the student will develop an innovative project based on the use of IoT technologies, in response to a challenge proposed by the teaching staff; this project will be developed in a group and will conclude with the design of a business model.
Project-based learning: The student will consolidate the concepts seen in the theory class, through the development of the different phases of their project.
Attendance to practical classes is compulsory. In order to be entitled to take the exam in both the ordinary and extraordinary exams, the student must attend 80% of the practical classes.
In order to pass the subject, the student must pass both the theory exam and the evaluation of the practical work separately.
If a student fails one of the parts in the common exam, he/she will only have to repeat the part not passed in the extraordinary exam: the exam if it is the theory part, and the elaboration of a new project proposed by the teacher, if it is the practical part.
The weight of the continuous assessment in the extraordinary opportunity of recovery (July tests), will be that obtained throughout the two-month period.
The final mark for the subject will be formed by the weighted average of the following items:
Theoretical exam: 40%. It will be a multiple-choice test, with 40 questions, 4 possible answers, 1 valid. Each wrong question will subtract 0.25 from the final mark (40), and to pass the exam it will be necessary to obtain 20 out of the 40 possible points.
Evaluation of practical work: 40%.
Continuous monitoring: 20%. Continuous monitoring will be assessed according to the development of the project visible in the Miro tool.
For cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the rules set out in the Regulations on the assessment of students' academic performance and the review of qualifications will apply.
It is considered that the student will dedicate 75 hours of work to the subject; of which 24 will be classroom-based, 12 lectures and 12 laboratory hours. The remaining 51 will be personal work, dedicated by the student to the study of the subject (20) and practical work (31).
Although there are theoretical contents, these are aimed at grounding the knowledge necessary to get the most out of the interactive contents and laboratory practices. Therefore, not only teachers, but also students should see the subject as a whole as contents that are reinforced, understood and applied through multiple cross interactions. On the other hand, it is important that students follow the theoretical lectures, which are the basis of the interactive lectures, with which they are highly aligned.
It is recommended to maintain fluid communication with the teaching staff and a participative attitude in the classes. Constant weekly work related to the activities described in the methodology is also recommended. The student must have a personal laptop on which to carry out the practices and on which to install the software used in the subject, which will be free software
