Introduce students to the management of bioinformatics tools, including some that will be used in the different subjects of the master.
1. Bioinformatics databases and search tools.
Genomic databases. Alignment of two sequences.
Software: FASTA, BLAST
2. Sequence alignment and phylogeny.
Multiple sequence alignment. Phylogeny from a distance matrix.
Software: CLUSTAL
3. Genome analysis.
4. Databases GO and KEGG.

1. Use BLAST to search for sequences in databases, align with CLUSTAL and (where appropriate) to a phylogenetic analysis of the same.
2. Using databases to GO and KEGG functional annotation.
The expository and interactive teaching will be face-to-face and will be complemented with the virtual course of the subject.
Tutorials will be face-to-face.
A final test will be carried out by telematic means.
