CiQUS Offers Short-Term Stays and Specialized Support to MSCA-IF-2020 Candidates

Are you interested in a prestigious MSCA Individual Fellowships to work on your dream project? The CiQUS offers short-term stays to Experienced Researchers (ER) with an excellent track record, as well as specialized support to write a convincing proposal.  

 

The CiQUS wants to support excellent researchers in their applications to MSCA-IF-2020 Individual Fellowships. The selected candidates will be invited to carry out one-week stay at CiQUS with our research groups, working together towards submit an application to MSCA-IF-2020 call and join our research center.

They will spend some days within the selected Labs, discussing the project with the Host PI and meeting with MSCA evaluators. The candidates will be also supported by our technical staff for the draft proposal writing, both during and after the stay.

Applicants need a doctoral degree or at least four years’ full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline.

 

How to Apply

Candidates could apply up to 15th June 2020. Requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

1.- Select the appropriate research group/s for your project idea. Please find our research lines available in this link: www.usc.es/ciqus/en/research/research-groups.

2.- Send to ciqus.jobs [at] usc.es (subject “MSCA-2020”) one pdf with your Cover Letter & Short CV (max 2 pages). Please include in the cover letter a few lines summarizing the basic idea of your proposal, which must fit with the available research lines. Publication list can be provided through ORCID/Scopus/ResearcherID profiles.

3.- Pre-selected candidates should send a brief research proposal (1-2 pages). The selected candidates will be invited to carry out one-week stay at CiQUS.

CiQUS (University of Santiago de Compostela), addresses challenges in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry, New functional Materials and Synthetic Technologies for Sustainable Development.

Currently, CiQUS hosts 18 research groups which have been granted with 8 ERC projects (1 AdG, 1 CoG, 3 StG, 3 PoC), as well as securing an average of 6,1 MEUR/year in competitive funds during 2017-2019. Regarding scientific contributions, they reached an average JCR impact factor of 7.55 during the same period.
