Technological Support Platforms

The Technological Support Platforms are a good example of the research resources and capabilities existing at the Terra Campus, because they offer a wide range of technological services to the USC’s own research structures, as well as to external companies and institutions.

Dairy Products and Food Technologies Classroom

This classroom provides specialised training and advanced technological services to companies and entities in the dairy product and food sectors. To support this work, it has a semi-industrial pilot plant, which is one of the most complete in the country in terms of its equipment and multidisciplinary, highly qualified and experienced personnel.

Structural Wood Engineering Platform (PEMADE)

Founded at the end of 2008, this technological support platform consists of researchers and instructors who offer services and training support to the community, in areas of knowledge related to the use of wood for structural engineering purposes.

The Genetic, Genomic, and Zebrafish Services Platform offers advanced genetic and genomic solutions for research projects in a variety of fields. By applying experience and technology, this platform facilitates the development of research studies that connect genetics with multiple scientific disciplines.
