Sara González will supervise the USC Chair of Sustainable Mobility

On April 8, 2025, the Sustainable Mobility Chair was presented at the Pazo de San Xerome. It will be supervised by Sara González, associate professor from the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The USC-MONBUS Institutional Chair of Sustainable Mobility will work toward the digital and sustainable transformation of public transport and the promotion of active and healthy mobility. In this context, both the university and the company believe that research and innovation must be intensified to advance toward zero-emission mobility, with the interrelationship between the energy technology, transportation, and industrial sectors being particularly relevant.

Sara González García indicated that the objective will be to define "a key platform to promote R&D&I in favor of smarter and more sustainable mobility management."
