In this subject the quality concept will be dealt in depth applied to the software from the perspective of different standards. In this it will also be dealt the aspects that affect in the management of the quality and in its practical and integral application to a project.
1.-Concept of quality.
2.-Quality in Engineering software.
3.-Quality in the organization.
4.-Quality in the processes.
5.-Quality in the project.

The student will understand the use of the metric and will be able to use several that have different objectives
The student will be able to apply different techniques of quality insurance.
The student will understand the need and the consequences of using the quality of integral form in the process of construction of the software.
The classes of theory will be articulated in three classes of an hour by support of slides. Through the tool of y-Learning with the USC (virtual Campus) the educational material of the subject will be provided to students and will be in use systematically as strategy of delivery of practices and collaboration among students who develop works in groups. The forums and the mail of this tool will also be used as channel of communication between students and teacher. The practical classes will be developed in weekly sessions of two hours and a half and, depending on the case, on an individual way or in small groups to which it will be proposed exercises that will imply the development of the contents given in the theoretical classes.
In this subject following general competences are dealed with: CG3, CG4, CG5, CG12; skills related to computer: RI1, RI5, and RI16; and skills related to information technology TI2 and TI7 have specific content in the material to be introduced, as indicated in both the lectures and interactive clases. Subsequently, students will develop these skills with doing practical work in which also work generic skills particularly in regard to capacity for analysis and synthesis, organizational capacity and planning oral and written communication, ability to management information, problem solving and decision making, teamwork and motivation for quality.
To pass the discipline, the student will have to deliver a work summary of each of the practices made what, together with the continuous work grading of the student at class, will suppose a maximum of 80 % of the total obtained mark. The 20 % remaining will be the result of brief theoretical exercise.
The acquired competences in the subject will be obtained through the development of the group practices proposed, and the evaluation of the memories of them and their public defense will assess the degree of achievement of the same.
Presence in clases is mandatory. Students missing more than 20% of classes will be evaluated as NOT PRESENTED, at June call as well as in July call.
The acquired competences in the subject will be obtained through the development of the group practices proposed, and the evaluation of the memories of them and their public defense, will assess the degree of achievement of the same. Furthermore, the lack of key skills required for the development of the work is negatively valued.
The theory test questions will focus on the specific contents that have been developed in this area in relation to its powers and that may may have been acquired by students both in the narrative and interactive. The average length of the test is approximately 4 hours and will consist of multiple choice questions, short questions, long and troubleshooting case studies. In examining the degree of assimilation of the learning objectives set out in the syllabus of the subject will be assessed.
It is recommended between 4 and 5 hours per week of personal work of the student to prepare the practical part, which will imply the accomplishment of a series of works.
The total time of study and student's personal work is 45 hours classroom and 67.5 hours of personal work that will be divided into:
Lectures: 3 h. attendance and 18 h. self-study
Interactive lessons: 36 h. face and 34.5 of personal work
Mentoring and evaluation activities: 3 contact hours and 15, personal work.
The evidently practical component of the subject will demand from the student the regular attendance to the practical sessions as well as to take the work up to date according to the methodology ECTS.
Previous recommended requirements: To have passed Engineering Software before.
