Exhibition classes:
Development by the teacher of the fundamental aspects of the topics of the program. Master classes and doubts resolution.
The presentations used and / or complementary didactic material will be left in the virtual classroom. Expository classes will be given in person. Attendance is not mandatory, it is recommended.
Interactive classes:
Problem-based learning. The seminars will discuss issues and problems related to the topics of the program. Generally, students must work on the content of the seminar beforehand. The seminars will be evaluated with questionnaires and problems. Attendance is not mandatory. Yes necessary for the seminars to be qualified.
Interactive laboratory classes:
They will be practices performed with computer simulators, synchronously. Students will carry out the practices autonomously, in person in the classroom or in alternative locations within the schedules established by the center. Students will have time to resolve questions with the teacher. They will be evaluated by the delivery of the results of the simulations and / or questionnaires type tests. Attendance is not mandatory. If necessary for the internships to be qualified.
Group or personal tutoring.
In person or by telematic means : either synchronous (MS-teams) or asynchronous (email, virtual classroom forum ...)
In certain activities english could be used as the vehicle language.
Evaluation: The final grade (100%) is broken down into the following sections and will be the same for the three scenarios, except that for scenarios 2 and 3 the addition of an extra test (preferably oral) may be assessed to obtain the honor registration qualification.
1. Exam on the subject taught in theory classes and seminars: 70% of the mark (scenario 1: face-to-face in the classroom, scenarios 2 and 3, telematic means). Mandatory
It is necessary to obtain a minimum of 4 out of 10 to add the rest of the sections
2. Continuous evaluation: 30% of the grade, distributed as follows: Optional
2a. Practices: 5%. They will be evaluated by means of a test (only for the students who have completed the practicals).
2b. Seminars: 25%. In order for the student to be qualified in a seminar, they must attend it (face-to-face or online). They will be evaluated through a test / work.
All students in either group will be evaluated in the same way and on both occasions (January and July). The notes obtained in section 2 will be saved for the July evaluation and also for the following two courses.
The same applies to repeating students, the can use the marks obtained in other courses if available.
Competency assessment:
Exam: CT1, CT2, CT9, CT10.CT11
Seminars: CT3, CT4, CT9, CT10, CT11
Practices: CT2, CT11
Time of study and personal work
6 ECTS: 25 hours/credit: 150 hours
Regulated hours: 30 hours in lectures, 10 hours seminars, 10 hours practical sessions, 3 hours of tutorials, for a total of 150 hours
Hours of study: 70 hours for lectures, 15 for seminars, 5 for practical sessions, for a total of 90 hours
Exam: 2 hours
Total: 150 hours
Having a good knowledge of previous courses: biology of the cell, biophysics and biochemistry.
Get involved in classes either face to face at the class room or by telematic aplications.
Study every day avoiding the accumulation of work in the last days of the course. Consult every doubt with the teachers.
Students will have access to online material to follow the course. It also will be use to post advertisements or any other questions considered of interest.
There will be a virtual classroom and direct communication channels with the students common to the three scenarios (tutorials, forums, etc.).
Important: "For cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of students' academic performance and the review of qualifications will apply."
