Within the table of competences that was designed for the Master, the following will be worked on more specifically:
General skill
Ability to plan, present and manage R&D projects.
Knowledge of the criteria and mechanisms for evaluating R&D projects
Specific skills
Know the key aspects in the management of an R&D project.
Develop the ability to design, write and budget research projects.
Know the basic instruments for the professional management of research projects.
Know the methodologies and criteria used in the different evaluation processes of research projects according to the type of project (individual, consortium) and the type of plan (Galician, national, European).
Gain practical experience in project preparation and evaluation techniques.
Scenario 1. Adapted normality (without restrictions to physical presence)
The teaching methodology is based on lectures and practical sessions in which the student should participate actively. In particular, several sessions will be devoted to the preparation of R & D projects for different plans, as well as for the practical evaluation of real projects. All this will allow not only to know the techniques of evaluation, but also to develop the critical capacity necessary for the preparation of a research project.
The Virtual Campus (Moodle) will be used for the distribution of the didactic material, and any other complementary material to promote the autonomous study of the student, and as an online communication means between students and professor. For the virtual lessons, MS Teams tool will be used.
Scenario 1. Adapted normality (without restrictions to physical presence)
The final rate will consist on:
• Preparation of an R&D project: 40%
• Assessment of a real project: 40%
• Participation in classroom: 20%
Due to the nature of the subject, attendance to seminars is compulsory, with the attendance level exceeding 80% in order to be evaluated.
At the second opportunity, a research project should be presented (50%) and/or a real project should be evaluated (50%), depending on the failed part of the subject during the first opportunity.
In cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the "Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and the review of grades" will apply.
Training activities with their content in hours for the student
Lecturers 9 Follow-up (readings, documentation, etc.) 9
Seminars 12 Preparation and performance of activities 38
Tutorial activities 3 Study 3
Exam 1
Total 25 Total 50
Given the practical nature of the subject, attendance and active participation in the classes and seminars is essential, not requiring a specific effort for the study.
Teaching will be conducted in Spanish and/or Galician, although sources of information in English will be handled.
The use of the Virtual Campus (Moodle) is recommended as the axis of all the activities to be carried out in this subject, as well as MS Teams (if necessary depending on the scenario).
CONTINGENCY PLAN
In application of the provisions of the documents approved by the USC on the teaching organization in the 2021-2022 academic year (Contingency plan for the teaching development in the 2021-22 academic year, approved by the Governing Council on 30 April 2021), in Scenario 2 and in Scenario 3, the adaptations indicated below will be carried out.
Teaching methodology
Scenario 2. Distancing (partial restrictions on physical presence)
In this scenario, and whenever circumstances allow, both lectures and seminars will take place face-to-face. If face-to-face teaching is not possible, it will be carried out in a synchronous telematic way through MS Teams, keeping the schedule established
The tutorials will preferably take place virtually, through MS Teams, institutional email and the Virtual Campus forum tool.
Scenario 3. Closure of the facilities
In this scenario, teaching will be carried out out in a synchronous telematic way and always according to the schedule established by the Faculty, through the MS Teams platform. The individual tutorials will be carried out virtually, through MS Teams, institutional email and the Virtual Campus forum tool.
Evaluation system
The evaluation system will be the same regardless of the scenario, with the difference that in scenario 3, the tests will be developed virtually through the Virtual Campus task tool and/or MS Teams
