Manuel Magán Abollo holds a degree in Art History from the University of Santiago de Compostela. At the same university, he completed a master’s degree in Medieval Studies and another in Secondary Education Teaching and he conducted his research thesis “Read space and represented space in the Cantigas de Santa María” under the supervision of Elvira Fidalgo and María Victoria Chico.
Between 2016 and 2020, he was a research trainee at the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Santiago de Compostela.
Currently, his main area of interest is Computer Science. In this field, he has trained in Digital Humanities and Software Development. In recent years, he has created various web tools, such as Medievalitis (2016-2020) and the portal for his doctoral thesis oslugaresdascantigas.gal. He is currently collaborating with the digital edition project of the Cantigas de Santa María led by Elvira Fidalgo at the Ramón Piñeiro Research Center, while also developing his career as a programmer.
