The dynamics of biological supramolecular systems and their hydration water as revealed by the solvation of a fluorescent probe

01/06/2017

A recently published article has shown the value of solvation dynamics to study the structural and dynamic properties of biological supramolecular aggregates and their hydration water. In the study, the solvation dynamics of a fluorescent dye with intramolecular charge transfer has been used to unravel the fast dynamics of bile salt aggregates. The study is the result of collaboration with researchers from India who worked in our lab (CIQUS).
