Research in Mathematics in Galicia has experienced an important breakthrough and boost in recent years with implications not only at theoretical but also technological level. Research mathematicians actively collaborate in various fields related to basic research as well as its applications, and with this, mathematics went from being a basic tool in science and technology with a high theoretical component, to being an indispensable tool in any scientific and technological process.
The aim of this master’s is for students to complete their training in different mathematical topics, to have the opportunity to take interdepartmental and interdisciplinary subjects, to be in line with current mathematical aspects and to obtain a global view. The master’s will also provide a basis for vocational training courses in other areas where mathematics has a growing presence.

The teaching staff is composed of lecturers belonging to the University’s departments, with proven teaching and research experience. A high percentage of the teaching staff has proven experience and good knowledge of the businesses and the labour market awaiting the future graduates. Indeed, in recent years the teaching staff has intensified the mathematical research linked to the Galician productive fabric through research agreements and contracts.
