- To gain knowledge of different aspects that represent the concepts of social skills.
- To develop appropriate social skills (cognitive, emotional and behavioral) to facilitate successful social interactions in different contexts of action of the / as future / as nurses.
- To Develop the skills necessary to conduct interviews with patients in a clinical setting.
- To learn proper use of terms and concepts from the field and speak correctly and accurately.
- To learn how to implement the main techniques of social skills in a clinical context.
UNIT 1. SOCIAL SKILLS. Concept of social skills. Theoretical principles. Explanatory models. Component elements of social skills.
UNIT 2. SKILLS TO START, AND HOLD TALKS END. Active listening. Compliments. Start conversations. Talks. End conversation.
UNIT 3. Assertiveness skills. Communication styles. Assertive rights. Assertiveness skills. The techniques and assertiveness skills.

Scenario 1: adapted normality
Scenario 1 is characterized by the coexistence with certain preventive measures, self-protection of the population (face masks, use of disinfecting gels, etc.) and the maintenance of restrictions that affect the events of a certain influx of people.
The adaptation measures of teaching corresponding to this scenario are:
- Expository and interactive teaching will be face-to-face.
- The tutorials can be partially carried out virtually.
Depending on the scenarios (Scenario 1: adapted normality; Scenario 2: distancing; Scenario 3: closure of the facilities) the evaluation will continue through face-to-face / telematic tests and / or discussion and preparation of cases.
- Lectures: 4 hours.
- Face to face mentor-mentees sessions: 20 hours.
- Student' mentor supervised work: 6 hours.
- Interactive sessions: 11 hours.
- The rest of classroom hours and the student's work will be complemented with the subjects teach by the other professors.
- To regularly assist to lectures and skill stations.
- To read in advance the lecture materials.
- Active participación in lectores and skill stations.
- To complete the personal notes with the recommended bibliography.
- To make questions in order to solve doubts.
- To use mentorships.
- To prepare and hand over the tasas in the scheduled times.
- To dedicate a weekly time to study the subject.
TEACHING SYSTEM
Scenario 2: distancing
In this scenario, active protection measures will be applied, which must be complied with, such as the safety distance, the use of face masks and organizational measures to control access and capacity. The adaptation measures of teaching corresponding to this scenario are:
- Face-to-face teaching will coexist with virtual teaching.
- The face-to-face and virtual teaching will be carried out in the schedule of subjects established by the Faculty of Nursing.
Scenario 3: closure of facilities
In view of the measures provided by the health authorities, there may be a new confinement of the population, the closure of the University facilities and the determination of the essential functions to be maintained. The adaptation measures of teaching corresponding to this scenario are:
The teaching will be completely virtual, and will be taught at the times of the subject established by the center.
EVALUATION:
