- Endow to the student/to of a plural vision and integradora of the art of the Illustration and of the 19th century.
- Know differentiate the basic characteristics of the movementos artistic that give in the period objecto of study.
- Comprise the different lenguages formal and visual that give in this period.
- Know frame the work of art in the appropriate contexts in which gestó and relate it with other forms of cultural expression.

The student/to will be able of:
- Manage an own scientific methodology of the History gives Art and use the tools historiográficas more suitable.
- Assimilate the foundations and basic knowledges of the History of the Art of the Illustration and of the 19th century.
- Know the characteristics, functions and lineas basic of the art in his different demonstrations along the discurrir historical objecto of estudo as well as the causes of these characteristics, incardinando the work of art in the appropriate contexts in which gestó.
- Understand the different lenguages formal of the art of the Illustration and of the 19th century, and know deduce like these condition and act on the work of art.
So as to facilitate and racionalizar the teaching of the asignatura will use the following technical:
- Classes expositivas, in which, costing of the lesson magistral and having the support of images, that well can be through the power point, videos or CDs, will explain the distinct subjects that appear in the program.
- Interactive classes, in them the alumnado will realise works academically directed on subjects of the program; it will analyse appearances/act of representative art of the distinct artistic movements; asi as of texts, videos and will realise visits to exhibitions.

The global mark of the subject will be determined in its 100% by continuous assessment, taking into consideration the following formula throughout the course: practical and theoretical written exams of the contents of the matter will value with 70% of said final qualification; the remaining 30% can be reached through the tracking of the knowledge of the interactive classes´contents, the development -if established- of individual projects and the participation of the student in the lecture room. Furthermore, according to how course develop, readings, exercises and students exposures could be added.
For those students who access the second time in the month of July to the second time in the month of July exam will obtain their mark from a written exam (theoretical and practical) of all the contents of the expository and interactive classes given since the beginning of the course.
Grades will be shaped being 10 the maximum mark.
Following the Instruction Nº 1/2017 of Secretaría Xeral, students who are exempt from attendance in certain situations will be evaluated with a specific final exam (100%). Exemption from attendance must be authorized in advance by the university.
