Course objectives
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE:
1. Knowing the basic vocabulary and terminology in health management.
2. Knowing the Spanish health system.
3. Identify the differences between different health systems in Europe.
4. Identify the differences between the different healthcare models.
5. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of public and private systems.
6. Identify and understand the most relevant theories of management.
7. Apply the management process and its stages at any level of care.
8. Know the different techniques and use the appropriate priority for
situation.
9. Elaborate charts.
10. Demonstrate skills in communication, motivation, leadership.
11. Acquiring skills for decision making and conflict resolution.
12. Collaborate and participate in group work.
13. Interpersonal relationships.

1.Conocer the Spanish health system. Identify the characteristics of the leadership role of nursing services and care management. Know and be able to apply management techniques to groups.
2. Ability to work in a professional, ethical and regulatory and legal codes, recognizing and responding to dilemmas or moral and ethical issues in daily practice.
3. Ability to maintain dignity, privacy and confidentiality of the patient, using the skills more efficient.
4. Ability to lead and coordinate a team, delegating care appropriately.
5. Ability to adjust its role in order to respond effectively to the needs of the population or patients. When necessary and appropriate, be able to challenge existing systems to meet the needs of the population and patients.
6. Ability to realize that patient comfort is achieved through the combined resources and actions of team members to social and health care.
7. Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and effectively with all support staff to prioritize and manage time efficiently while meeting standards of quality care.
8. Use critical evaluation tools and audit care according to
relevant quality standards.
Teaching methodology
• TEACHING EXHIBITION
Expository teaching is designed to enhance autonomous learning
students. In the lectures the teacher will present and explain the aspects
most relevant to each topic, helping students to achieve the objectives
of matter.
• INTERACTIVE TEACHING
They conduct seminars on topics related to the theoretical contents of
matter and discuss case studies. The teacher guide and student guide
in the process of learning and development work.
The student will have active participation.

Study time and individual work
• Teaching expository = 18h.
• Interactive Teaching = 18h.
• Total hours of students' personal work: 54h.
• Assessment hours: 3 hours
Recommendations for the study of the subject
• Daily monitoring of activities, readings and summaries of the contents
developed to further evolve the program.
• Check references.
• Plan study activities and job leads.
• Develop customized documents for the study of agenda items.
• Study group (not as usual, but with some frequency and
certain topics of the course that require interaction, this method
can increase motivation).
• Using the tutorial hours for questions and guidance.

CONTINGENCY PLAN:
SCENARIO 2: distancing (partial restrictions on physical presence)
Methodology:
Face-to-face teaching will coexist with virtual teaching.
Expository and interactive teaching will be carried out in whole or in part virtually, either with synchronous or asynchronous mechanisms; through the Virtual Campus, e-mail and / or create a Microsoft Teams team:
a) Presentation gives subject and explanation of the program.
b) Classes: presentation, explanation of topics.
c) Attendance and participation in person or in the online classroom.
The following will be uploaded to the Virtual Campus:
Presentations in PPT.
Necessary material for the proposed activities.
The virtual Campus will be used as a bulletin board of events of interest (academic information, call to chat sessions, ..) for all students and / or as a private agenda.
The activities proposed during the interactive teaching are of a compulsory nature and may be carried out using the Virtual Campus or Microsoft tools as a communication platform if the teacher so proposes.
Tutorials will preferably be carried out electronically.
Learning assessment system:
Continuous formative assessment, combined with final tests.
The final tests will be preferably telematic, on both occasions.
The weight of each part of the subject in the final grade does not vary:
EXHIBITION TEACHING - (75% of the final grade)
Test-type exam or short question.
INTERACTIVE TEACHING - (25% of the final grade)

SCENARIO 3: closure of the facilities (impossibility of teaching in person)
Methodology:
Teaching will be completely virtual, either with synchronous or asynchronous mechanisms.
It will be carried out online through the Virtual Campus, by e-mail and / or by creating a Microsoft Teams team:
a) Presentation gives subject and explanation of the program.
b) Classes: presentation, explanation of topics.
c) Attendance and participation in the online classroom.
