Summary
3D printing is an additive manufacturing technology capable of producing customized structures layer by layer. Among the techniques used in the pharmaceutical field, semi-solid extrusion (SSE) stands out for allowing the use of low printing temperatures and disposable syringes, which help meet quality requirements. In this study, sustained-release prednisolone capsules of 50 mg and 10 mg were prepared using SSE technology, and subsequently characterized through an in vitro dissolution test to verify that the desired sustained release was achieved.
